Bought a pair of rebuilt front calipers from a local brake shop for $290. Was going to get a set off ebay for $230, but the seller/shop doesn’t have a contact number listed on their website which puts me off a little, plus the local shop is handy for any future issues, plus I’ll get my rear calipers rebuilt in the next 6 months or so.

Finished the brake lines on the weekend. Put the discs and calipers on the rear and was doing the fronts but it looks like one of the pistons is seized, doesn’t budge at all. Can get rebuilt ones off eBay for 215 bucks, but thinking of going up the wreckers on sat and see what I can get.

Na mine is from a VF, it’s different, the arm of the pedal is all plastic. Got it mounted now so it’s sweet as, thanks for the offer though

I was under the car yesterday and noticed the headers were touching the steering rack. Loosened the header bolts and adjusted it, gave it more room but still not happy with it so I’ll get the exhaust shop to give it some love.

Haha yeah it’s neat as. Not much to it though, just a big bit of plastic that’s cut and bent in half with some tabs, could make one out of sheet metal if you had a straight edge bender.

Its a 180 degree end off a heater hose I’ve bent around, I think it’s off a Ford, still flows fine. It’s only on there temporarily to get it running, got the heater core installed so the demister will work.

Finished off the intake yesterday. Fits well with plenty of room. Tacho also arrived.

Only managed to get the intake pipe done over the weekend. Alloy pipes are a prick to cut cleanly and debur the ends. Painted the pipes black on Sat evening but they were still a little tacky on Sunday morning so I left them out in the sun to dry properly, I’ll put it in this weekend. Intake parts arrived today. Also just finished Dry July so looking forward to a beer tomorrow night haha

Not sure what the butterfly size is but a 4 inch/102mm silicon bend fits perfectly

Was going to run a cowl but gonna go with the standard bonnet. The tuner can keep an eye on the intake temps during the dyno runs so I’ll get him to let me know how it goes.

Hopefully I dont have temp issues with it running behind the radiator for about half it’s length

Thanks for the info guys. I’ll go with the twin 2.5 into single 3 for now. I spoke to the guy building it over the weekend, he said he’ll put a flange on the join so I can swap to a 3.5 rear section if I want to.
