Picking up a VR fuel tank tomorrow. The CAE stuff comes with an in tank fuel pump that has in internal regulator so I can run a line from the tank to the rail and wont need the external regulator ($150 saving, yay). Decided to give the bay a coat of paint. Can get a litre of hi fill primer for $63, 500ml of white paint for $50, both with hardener. A mate can get the spray gun, thinners etc. so I should get out of it for under $200. Fun times ahead…..

I’ve read good and bad things about both, at the moment the CAE stuff looks appealing as they were great to speak to, answered my multitude of questions they’ve probably heard a million times before, and the gear all works together. I’ll be calling CRS this morning to see what info I get from them, might also call Lowe Fab as well.

What a weapon. Seeing your work on the bay has me wanting to do mine before I stick the motor in.

At the moment the bay is black. Was thinking I’d clean it out and give it a quick tidy up, remove the battery tray, primer and some white paint while its empty.

I’ve been reading Bdl_007’s thread about his VL with the LS2 and reading about him giving his bay a tidy up has got me thinking about mine

Yeah that’s what I’ve been doing. Does the list of parts include everything I need or are there some items I don’t?

also thinking about splashing some paint over the bay so it looks like it matches the rest of the car. Not a full soothed out bay, just a quick tidy and some white paint. Shouldn’t take too much to do

I’ve gone from nothing to trying to get everything done in the space of a few days. I haven’t had time to comprehend what I’m spending hahaha.

It would be nice but doesn’t fit into the budget at the moment.

On a side note, I’m not getting the Brembos any more as I can’t get the mounting brackets unless they’re custom made, plus I’ll have a prick of a time finding wheels to fit, and at the moment I’ll be running stockies, so I’ve $800 to spend on brakes, probably go for a VT setup

Thats pretty good on the 454 so it should be plenty for me for the time being.
