Ordered a tail shaft today from Gibson Driveshafts near Newcastle. Should be ready next week. Hopefully throw it in over the weekend, and that’ll complete the driveline.

Anyone have some suggestions on how to mount the trans cooler, and where to run the lines?

Thanks guys. Was an awesome weekend, really satisfying seeing the wiring done and swapping the diffs, couple of big ticket items checked off the list.

Sold all the old stuff 20 minutes after advertising it on Facebook, only have to add 80 bucks for a new tail shaft, happy days

I reckon 738 hp

All the new gear is in, diff, upper and lower arms, springs, shocks, panhard bar. Sits only a tiny bit lower than the old springs, but they’ll probably drop a bit more once they settle.

Picked it up this morning, pretty good job. ECU is mounted high up behind the passenger kick panel, air con box is gone and replaced with a custom duct, fuse box for the motor and stuff is mounted underneath the duct, the other fuse box with the rest of the normal VK stuff is on the right hand side of the steering wheel under the dash behind the…[Read more]

haha yeah pretty much. Gonna try and pull the diff out over the weekend, need to sell it to get some spare coin to spend on more stuff, the missus isn’t too impressed with how much the wiring cost so have to keep a low profile haha

Wiring is finally done. Gonna try and pick it up Sat morning, depending on the weather.

Thanks lads. I’ll give it a hose out and use water while I’m getting it up and running, once it’s running properly I’ll swap it out for coolant. The inlet, outlet and heater pipes have been taped up so it shouldn’t be too bad inside.

Anyone know if it’s worth flushing out the cooling system before or during the start up? I have a new radiator going in but obviously the motor has been sitting for a while without any coolant, would there be any rust build up in the block that I should try to get rid of before it circulates through everything?
