Posts: 39How much were the DMS coilover and shocks?
They are an Aussie made quality set up so there not cheap, but they are rebuildable/serviceable,have 50mm slider tubes and are independently adjustable for bump and rebound. Also allow for camber change at base of coilover with eccentric bushes. RRP $5,552.00 I paid $3,560.00 as they were having a 30% off promotion for being in business for 30 years.I think the xyz stuff is around $1,800.00,so about double for the DMS kit. Some pics.
Cheers for that. Might look at getting there street coilovers and shocks instead.

Also as far as I’m aware yaman, only the SS utes didn’t have a rear sway bar.

Posts: 39Only boring people work to a budget. You don’t need to be raking in the money to build a stroker that isn’t a 355. It just takes longer and would be more rewarding, but that’s just my experience.

Posts: 39I remember this ute from Proutes.
If you go down the Holden stroker route, my advise would be to build some thing other than a 355.

Posts: 39It’s been an on-going project over the past few years Gary. I do most things, didn’t touch the motor this time round though. I went up to 13.4:1 comp and had lifter sleeves bronze bushed. A few oiling mods in there too, Immortality, I’m using a standard (but modified) oil pump. The high volume pump chewed the gear on oil drive. I’ll try this for a bit. Still getting near 30 Psi at idle, hot after cruising. I still have a modified high vol pump, but oil pressure is good enough at the moment. GMH 304, it’s a 396 Stroker.
Just a bakers dozen short.
Will say this beast makes me want to call the guys building my engine Monday to go more comp and solid roller instead of hyd roller

Also the pipes on ITS355 are porn. Mind you the ute itself is amazing.

Posts: 39So I’m guessing a big paw alloy block would also be no good as its 20mm wider ? What about the COME alloy black they have made ??
What I mean by factory block dimensions is: bore spacing, cam location, deck height and pan rail width.
The COME block is to factory spec. From what I’ve heard COME used modified original Holden moulds
4. Cam Location Raised. The numbers at the top are the camshaft journal size options.
Shit missed that hahaha How much of the market would that affect but?
Someone on AV8 said TP would probably sell a few hundred. I would of thought a 1000+ would be the goal.

Posts: 39For restricted race categories that require factory block dimensions.
Also you’re kidding yourself if you think you’d be limited to .600″ lift.

Posts: 39The new holden block is meant to shit all over any aftermarket LS block. Torque doesn’t win races…..
That’s a big call, but they said the same thing between big paw and SBC back in the day. Look how that turned out for them.

Posts: 39Platinums are overkill for this. Stud mount rockers are adjustable and would be more than up too the task.

Posts: 39Na us can’t, I’ll get a 288 kit soon. What roller rockers would be best without breaking the bank?
Any good quality 7/16 stud mount rocker will do the job. Hit up Engine Parts 24 Seven on ebay, he has Crane Cam kits, Crane Gold rockers and ARP rocker stud/Crane guide plate kit.

Posts: 39I was looking at buying that VT awhile ago just for the engine too, but I swear that the ad said 370 (3.625 stroke & 4.03 bore). Anyway I started buying parts to build my own which hopefully should be ready to build later this year.
