I really enjoyed my self at HbH. So whilst there I decided to finally get off my butt and formally join the Commodores and Classic Holden Enthusiasts (CACHE) car club. I would like to start doing some club cruises, meeting, etc, and they seem like a genuinely nice group of fellow enthusiasts. Turns out they are doing a display of some club cars at…[Read more]

What a great show. Super happy with how the car presented. But also ran, started etc flawlessly. After the event was a long slow cruise up to Holden’s factory and through, temps, pressures etc perfect the whole time. Then on the way home gave it a couple of hits on a quiet road on the way home. Holy shit it literally smokes them endl…[Read more]

Dropped it off tonight. Won’t lie was driving it very sedately. Not sure about the vents yet Cav, but it has to help.

Had a day off today, wanted to do a few little things before displaying it at Holden’s Back Home tomorrow at Peter Page Holden. (anyone in SA if you are there drop by the car and say g’day)
Fitted the bonnet vents, I think they look sweet, the cut outs I had done in the under bonnet protector dont stand out as much as the pic. I fitted the n…[Read more]

What did you use to “tell” it what rpm the engine was doing to trigger the relay. Is that an ECU thing?

Lots of opinions on the benefit or not of running dual pumps. With one pump, if something happens and the pump stops, the car does too. On a two pump system if the second pump gives out it can be catastrophic. Having said that tons of cars out there running dual pump set ups. I actually have an email to Weldon asking them how they rec…[Read more]

Interesting, my tuner has mine at 60psi full return, hadn’t considered what other effects that would make. Are the injectors designed to work at a particular pressure though?

Be interesting if anyone makes a simple little 12V flow through cooler, must be a reasonably common problem, especially in hot climates? I know the drag boys do the esky kind of deal don’t they?

Thanks, I kid you not, if you look down the side of it in real life, it’s perfect, and I mean it. Frank took 7 months to paint it, and that was a car that was basically dent free and no rust. At the time I thought it was overkill, but here we are more than 5 years later and its still mint. I don’t want to jinx myself, but feel like I am fi…[Read more]

Might have to look into this cheers. Mine is pretty noisy at idle, and the units there, I just haven’t hooked it up. Cheers.
Don’t know if this helps, but when I did my Varex set up I bought some of that stick on heat shielding and did the side of the fuel tank. Not easy to see on this pick but maybe it would help?
