Thanks IJ, I was wondering how to wire it in. I am just so thankful I got out lightly. I mean I guess I could/should have handled it quicker but all hell broke loose. But lesson learned.

I just had probably the scariest moment in a car I can remember. I have driven the Senator into work and was taking a couple of guys over from France around the block. I reckon if they are the only two issues you get your have done bloody well. When you add up how many little details jobs you have done, getting one or two wrong is just part of the game. and to be expected.

Pretty sure mine are all the same. M10x1 is very fine Cav, I think that’s the rear irs drive shaft bolts. I am thinking m10x1.5.

So last week a set of the correct hubcaps went for $1,200. So yea nah, I mean first time I left it at Bunnings someone would nick them. So bought a very nice set of full stainless dress rings, I think they set if off nicely. Been driving it a bit this week end working on the shed, so cool to drive love it.

What? You mean there is no off the shelf solution for an E36 with 600+HP mid-mounted LS, that’s being built for dirt and tarmac events. Go figure

Just curious IJ, is it a specific kind of steel, and what sort of heat treatment process is it?
If I remember engineering correctly the torsional stiffness of a bar is proportional to the 4th power of its diameter. So twice the diameter is 16 times stiffer. That’s why very small increments in diameter change like 1 or 2mm make a big difference…[Read more]
