Many thanks Exec24..!! Exactly what I was looking for.. On another note, you’re lovely wife noted that it was a good thing you weren’t home to see my VK or “you’d want another car and your already have 2”

Ha ha, that was my mum. I’m living at home while I pay my block of land off,  before I build my own place, so I’ll be holding off before I build another car, took me few years to get the VS done how i wanted, which once the weather gets better I’ll start using

so my parents don’t have too much to worry about

however wouldn’t mind an LS1 for my VY

    thought id update this,

Finally got the gauges tested, got told they they are all working correctly

so has me a bit stumped 95% of the setup is prewired, only had to wire in battery and ground

anyway i’ll be putting them up on the forums and ebay too and try and recoup some money

should be able to get them from Flexible Drive Agencies, had the custom one made for my VS to suit my 4 barrrel throttle body

which was essentially a VH 308 Cable but had VS end on the Accelerator pedal end, as VH is slightly different. Also had them make it with a metal thread, instead of the plastic one where you bolt the bracket on the manifold

the guy here at the Adelaide one told me they use to have the contract for Holdens, so they have info on the ends and lengths of the cables

Its pretty easy to mod it yourself, google it, pretty sure there instructions on a couple of forums. For me it was just one less thing to build/make/modify. This is their website, actually they are looking at becoming a forum sponsor so if you call them tell them you got onto them through us http://www.racebrakessydney.com.au

no worries, good to know that i can buy it off the shelf, think i’ll take the car for a few more short drives before i make a decision

Very nice car. Have sat and read the complete build thread. Also exec24 without wanting to take up much of this build thread. I have just finished the mods to suit Vt master using vs booster. Which going off the instructions from calais turbo forums was very helpful but basically its as below. <p style=”text-align: left;”>Unbolt the master. You then remove the bolt out of the master cylinder side of the booster which would sit in the back of the master cylinder. Cut the head off it Then put a slit in the end so you can screw it back in with a bit of locktite (otherwise could collapse the inside with nothing in the center)</p> Master bolts on and you use the vs reservoir with a small new hole to drill and tap. Bend the brake lines to reach.

id much rather replace the whole booster/master to the VT setup, i’ve been checking out a few other forums seen a few ways people have done it

Yeah makes sense, No idea what the stock one is, just the standard VS booster and master

Do you have a link to a website, I’m almost tempted to get a s/hand unit and mod it myself

both the booster and master? so it modified to suit the VR ?

reason i ask is  my VS has a VT Brake upgrade on the front and since getting the my VS back on the road, the few times i have driven it the pedal feels a touch more spongy. It was fine before with the old v8 but just not sure if its the fact that i havent driven it in a few years and my VY Berlina has a HBD Brake package (slightly bigger calipers and rotors than standard) and i havent driven much else recently

both car have braided lines instead of rubber hoses

my VS still has the standard booster/master and never had a spongy pedal before

Gator. That’s them. If polish isn’t your thing you can get the rails anodised pretty cheap.

see how i go, might anodize them later on, for now i’ll leave them as they are see if they bug me, dont really want to pull the car apart again just yet
