rear are no good to me then, did you have fronts? and front swaybar? and if you do do they have the 2 letter code on them still?

For now I’ll try and sort out the rear end,
I’ve managed to go through my VR/VS workshop manuals and get the production codes for the factory fe2 springs, for front and rear so if I find a set and it still by chance has the codes on it I will know what it is
same case for the swaybars, I think I’ll hunt down an fe2 Rear swaybar and swap it…[Read more]

Last year i posted up that i was looking to raise up my VY sedan, after years of having it lowered. Which i ended up doing by fitting factory fe2 into springs, and swaybars, and have enjoyed not having it scrape everywhere since
i am now looking into Rasing my VS V8 Sedan which has live axle rear, it currently is fitted with pedders sports ryder…[Read more]

so not much of an update but the brand new Optima Yellowtop that i fitted into the car when i got it back on the road decided to call it quits after about 8-9months but got a new one under warranty a few weeks ago

i used a VT-VY Charcoal Canister, its rectangular, and mounted up near the fuel tank on VT-VY, underneath the car. I drilled the spot welds off the factory bracket that holds it to the body from a wreck at U-Pull-It, Welded a bit of plate to it and bolted it up underneath the battery tray on the VS, as my battery is in the boot and just routed…[Read more]

ok i’ll keep in mind, i’ve put the engine in a corner of the shed for the time being
if i end up fitting it into the VY i’ll more than likely change the gaskets people have mentioned, and the PCV hose, as the one on the diver side is cracked

Ok will do, are the bolts for the intake manifold, sump and timing cover on these engines torque to yield?

I ended up buying the one in the link I posted above. Paid about $70 when I got, thought it was a pretty decent unit. Done what I needed which was to setup base timing
