I was going to clean the door molds first and put them on but I like the look without them. The pin stripe fills the door mold void.

I also had a look at the rear boot badge today that I’m getting remade. It looks perfect and solid. Just have to get colour on it. Trying to get a few extra made if anyone is interested.

Finally got the car back yesterday afternoon. I’m blown away by the quality of the spray job on the car and attention to detail.

I have to give a big thanks to Robert and Sam from E.R. McNamara Smash Repairs at St Peters. The work quality and attention to detail is second to none.

I know my car isn’t the same as a VN but my VH is running FR19s with a decent dish on the rear with 245 rubber. Rims are 9.5 inchs wide and the car has a standard VH diff. I’ve lowered the car but not dramatically. I was getting rubbing in the rear with the car lowered so got the guards rolled.

The car is being put back together as we speak. I seemed to have misplaced a rear door check strap though  I did manage to find some though online. ordered two just in case.

Getting the pin striping done tomorrow. Have gone with a light silver with satin finish. Apparently they were originally this colour from factory but turn white…[Read more]

I’m pretty certain that they are circuit breakers.

One is for power windows the other for central locking. When there is a power surge or someone holds down the electric window switches for a long time it pops out stopping power going to the switch so it doesn’t melt.

The other will pop out if there is something wrong with your central locking.

Nice. Looking forward to seeing this come together.

Can anyone post a photo of the rear of their car with the boot open. Need to send it to the body shop so they know what line to follow when they spray the black sections.

I sent and saw the car in person yesterday (photos were from the body shop) and it looked awesome and it was straight off the gun.

I told them to leave the body molds off for the moment. I’ll try clean them up as best I can or find NOS ones and fit them back myself later.

Door belt arrived yesterday. Rubber is soft like new and chrome is straight and clean!
