• Finally got her home tonight, she runs like a trooper, so hopefully will be able to sell the drive line when the ecotec goes in. Paint is great in some places average in others, but all panels are straight which is great. Will be respraying the front bumper, and M3 style side skirts before they are fitted. Pick up the M3 rear bumper along with…[Read more]

  • Finally get to pick the car up this week and am itching to get into it!The one and only photo I have attached.

Found some leather seats on Gumtree for $120 front and rear, they are grey unfortunately, but a mate swears he can change them to black for me.

Another Gumtree score some 17 inch M3 wheels for $400 with 70% tread tyres.

    Will post some…[Read more]

  • Found out yesterday the engine and tranny mounts dont need to be engineered, as in I can definitely make them myself. Main thing is that the tranny mounts utilise existing holes in the body and that the motor is not mounted forward or after the crossmember too much. I think it will probably be a better fit as the inline BM 6’s sit a long way…[Read more]

  • Bonus, have been donated a VT motor, trans and loom from a relative! That saves a few dollars, now whether to invest that in manufactured mounts for engine and trans or elsewhere?

I’m certainly curious as some of the name franchise tyre places are selling them, not just dodgy joes do a deal.

  • Have worked in electronic security for the past five years on the wholesale side, cameras, alarms and access control.

Was a locksmith for 15 years cracking safes, making keys to cars etc.

Like the electronic security more, changes every few months with new technology.

  • Hi Guys,

Any thoughts on Chinese tyres that are on the market at the moment? I’m seeing Winrun and Yonking pop up a bit at the moment when doing a search. Has anyone gone down this path and what os your feedback?

  • Hi Everyone,

I recently replaced all the front end bushes with Nolethane, with the exception of the ones for the steering rack and put some new ball joints in. Made an amazing difference to the handling and personally I dont think the Nolethane makes the ride that harsh.

My father and I managed to smash it out in 4 hours which I was…[Read more]

  • Hi Everyone,

I just scored some factory extractors for $100.00 and yes I know they will be not as good as an aftermarket set up like a Lukey, Pacemaker etc. However, my question is will I need a tune after bolting themon or will the car adjust as needed? I spoke to an exhaust place and they said that the VT with the MAF has the ability to…[Read more]
