I’m with Gary.  Shame to loose the 8ttb. But I’d be biased if I didn’t like the 1900

I think it was an Aeroflow billet. I drilled out the top mounting hole so I could push the Alternator hard against the block as there was a couple of mm clearance. There’s bugger all between the Alternator and chassis rail although the motor torques away from that rail and with the Tuff mounts the motor is virtually solid mounted.

sweet I remember had to mod something. Just couldn’t Denver where. Hopefully today I can take some happy snaps of the conversion. Get your opinion on it

Narrowed my cam selection to 2 grinds. One is more strip orrientated then the other. Both will sound sinister.

Yeah I still need to buy an alternator. My Mate Wayne Finch put you onto Mechman. They do some good gear. But sadly the dollar has taken a dive since he first brought his

Who made yours Pete. $300 is much more reasonable.

Gary what alternator bracket you using ?

Have you heard of that interchiller? Seems to be pretty good for keep intake temps cold.

yeah had a good look at them mate was very keen until I realized I need ac. Which has been stripped from car.

It it isn’t a big deal putting it back isn’t the issue. But making a ac compressor fit with the LSA in a VR bay would require a lot of work.

That is stupid HP/TQ for the money really :D There were a couple of VF HSV GTS’s (bloody overweight barge) running mid 12’s at the recent Fathers Day drags here in NZ, in a relatively light body like the VR it should be a right weapon set up properly like you will no doubt

a guy on another forum is running 10.5 in his VFGTS. With very minimal mods

FI = best of both worlds

Sure is. Ultimately would have loved to have a turbo, but it was too much cash to get it running and engineered

You’ve practically chosen an off the shelf 9 second package. Pretty damn good to me.

Exactly why I brought it mate. Too hard to pass up bang for buck.

    600hp/580ftlb for $10k

As far as I’m aware the hand brake assembly was standard. I didn’t touch it.

The front end just felt tighter going into corners. Defiently notice the difference when you jack it up.
