January 10, 2016 at 3:33 pm #13187No idea lol it’s cooked mine also
January 10, 2016 at 3:23 pm #13186Massive believer if you want the box to shift properly you do it mechanically not via the tune.
The amount of big dollar boxes I’ve seen destroyed cause tuners think they are trans experts is unbelievable. Mate who works at a big name trans shop used to see it weekly.
January 10, 2016 at 8:31 am #13169Found a solution G Force sell a CV upgrade kit for my driveshafts, using stronger Porsche units. Then I’ll just get my original shafts machined down and I’ll be good to go! Gary when you measured up for driveshafts, did you do it once the subframe was back in the car, or before you installed it?
I’ve found with the standard shafts, the shafts break or the splines strip. Never had a problem with the cv joint.
Yep. I twisted both mine and one cleaned snapped after my 5k Calder launch lol
January 10, 2016 at 8:29 am #13168You will fit it in under no worries. I was very close to getting my Single Plane under

January 8, 2016 at 10:31 pm #13139Well Nats 21 was 2008. That year the mob had just come back from SEMA and cleaned up. Some Aussies came up with the idea.
January 8, 2016 at 8:09 pm #13136Wonder if anyone makes them for rigid rear springs great idea.
check out the K-Mac coil jackers. I think they have a design for solid rear axle springs. Fully adjustable with a tyre wrench, no c-spanners
i seen these at summernats 21, ages ago.
January 6, 2016 at 7:24 pm #13094You will love the go pro. I’ve got some awsome footage skiing and riding. For what they are, they are killer.
January 5, 2016 at 8:17 pm #13045The way it stands now I could get the Lexcen on club plates… it’s a bit of a joke.
Then you could take me for a spin LOL
January 5, 2016 at 7:22 pm #13044Not much happening lately. Just doing a tone of research and working out how I’m gunna go about certain things. I’m going to change up the HX and pump/box setup. I’m thinking big picture 😉
January 5, 2016 at 7:04 pm #13042Over the top modified vehicles running club reg. Soon all modified vehicles with be subjected to wear a club reg plate that states modified.
Copper can see this. Pull u over and go over your mods etc if they aren’t engineered. You loose the plates.
Its to stop all these blokes with blowers out the bonnet etc scamming the club reg system. As well as blokes who daily drive their club reg vehicle and don’t fill out log books
I honestly don’t see a problem with it, well the modified part.
January 5, 2016 at 2:10 pm #13039Don’t you bloody hate that. Arms deep into a job and ur missing tools or parts
January 5, 2016 at 10:33 am #13033Not sure about the later model stuff but I know with VR/VS. IF you do a ppsr(rego) check on the vin it will come up as a berlina or exec as that’s the base model.
Then to confirm the HSV part you have to do a HSV check.
January 4, 2016 at 11:25 pm #13026charge density is dependent upon isentropic compression efficiency of the compressor….
Laymans, Better compressor more air in cylinder.
January 4, 2016 at 6:54 pm #13016You have more compressed air with boost. Better VE %
E85 uses more air vs fuel so increase.
January 4, 2016 at 5:56 pm #13014It’s a quick money grab and then if shit hits fan they bail. But all other cars in the club get reemed also
January 4, 2016 at 5:52 pm #13013Yeah mates v7 was pushing 750HP. Running 9’s
Dont forget blown is pushing a hell of a lot more air then NA. E85 adds some more also.
January 4, 2016 at 3:22 pm #13006Big crack down is about to happen. All these dodgy clubs and member will get caught and shafted eventually.
Then when they do get caught they need a roady to get registration again. So if they are modified. It’s only time.
January 4, 2016 at 11:15 am #13003NickVR – Is yours a V8 conversion? If so the cluster will still think its a 6 and will be receiving 33% more pulses than it expects, so will read higher.
Shouldn’t do, VR V6 and V8’s used the same diffs/transmissions with the same VSS so there is no difference between V6 and V8 in terms of speedo signal as far as I am aware.
speedo no. Revs yes
January 4, 2016 at 10:12 am #13000Yep guessing it’s done for steering clearance, I spoke with Darren at Difilipos about lengths when I was building mine, he said longer primaries would be better than shorter if you had to make the choice and I agree with a car that needs to operate with a wide powerband “Tuned Length” is very low on the list.. I was running 1-3/4 primaries on this engine when it was in the Tonner and while it made great power it always felt a little strangled, this time I bumped it to 1-7/8 and with a less restrictive exhaust it’s wakened it up some!
Exactly. People are telling me to just run the 3/4 they are plenty. But even with my mates v7 355 the 7/8 made a massive gain on it. Generally find going bigger headers means you will loose 1-2lb boost as it’s less restriction.
