I’d go a bigger blower, 10-12psi an Intercooler(must only eyes) before I went stroker manifold etc.
then e85 if avaiable
January 25, 2016 at 9:43 pm #13624A lot of money for little gain IMO. You also need to find the cam specs. A 284 crane works very well with boosted 304’s.
Converter bringgs the the revs right into its power band. If your saying its doughie below 3000 I’d look at a 3000-3500 stall. It will bring revs right into the sweet spot when Uou stand on it. Ideall u want 2-300rpm more stall then the rpm peak torque was made.
January 25, 2016 at 9:12 pm #13622Dual plane won’t Be any better then the bananas …
Correct stall and diff gearing will help.
January 25, 2016 at 8:18 pm #13618What’s the combo.
January 25, 2016 at 6:13 pm #13615Pocket change. Lol
January 25, 2016 at 5:35 pm #13612Yeah that’s it mate. If it was a single it would of been catch ya valve, piston and bore. Lol
January 25, 2016 at 12:06 pm #13601Yeah that’s it. My 304 had singles and there was always that doubt if I broke a spring I’m dropping a valve. At least with doubles u have somewhat of a fail safe
January 25, 2016 at 11:05 am #13595Yeah would need it’s routine go over. I did 37k with it. Springs were good still. Lunati doubles.
January 24, 2016 at 10:37 pm #13592I daily drove it No probs. The heavy clutch was the downside.
January 24, 2016 at 9:13 pm #13590Yeah. Whilst mine was small it was pretty aggressive. 215/223 .604/.610 112+2
January 24, 2016 at 8:19 pm #13588What’s the specs on it?
Mate te of mine had some very good results with an ls3 cam in his 6.0ltr
January 24, 2016 at 4:46 pm #13583Was there any mention of cam etc? Or just freshen up? I was very happy with the baby cam in my ls1
January 24, 2016 at 4:08 pm #13579Exact same happened to me. Leak down and comp test was mint. Changed cam and noticed bearings. Then as you do, I went over board.
January 24, 2016 at 1:16 pm #13570Starting to show copper on the cam bearings? Eugene @ flowcraft did the machine work on my LS1. Power honed the bores, decked the head face flat supply and fit new cam bearings.
He also ran the whole rotating and block thru the hot wash for me. So it made clean up a lot easier.
Wasn’t bad for $600
January 24, 2016 at 8:48 am #13566Wish mine just fell off. Took me ages to clean these Pistons up.
January 23, 2016 at 4:01 pm #13563Yeah. My 80 series has a drain plug. But the stupid thing sprays straight into the cooler lines and goes everywhere LOL
January 23, 2016 at 8:45 am #13555Yeah I did mate. Best thing I did. Got sick of making a mess and wasting coolant when I had to continually drain it etc when I was sorting my cooling system.
Used these http://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/191723969035
I just had a bung in it. On the bottom hose facing down. You can buy little ball valves that’s screw in also.
January 22, 2016 at 7:51 pm #13551Slightly bigger then my 235’s
January 22, 2016 at 5:57 pm #13549Hmmm interesting. When I briefly spoke to engineer he mentioned no
January 22, 2016 at 6:03 am #13539How much better is E85 in regards to emissions?
was told you can’t use e85 at emissions. Gary can you confirm this? As e85 would make life a lot easier
