Nice stuff Ian. Where at? What’s the racing calendar like. Obviously plenty of dates given you built a dedicated track car
April 10, 2016 at 8:20 am #15482nothing quite like Anal Intrusions 3.0 whilst taking the 3rd corner at 6300
haha. When’s next race meet?
April 10, 2016 at 8:18 am #15481Looking the goods now mate.
Just be wiery the paint on the headers will flake due to the temps. If it’s in the budget I highly recommend ceramic coating.
April 9, 2016 at 9:29 pm #15476U could get some made
April 6, 2016 at 5:45 am #15442How long ago did you build this? Mate of mine has had the improved racing in his vy 4-5 years
She went back on the road January 2015. There is a slight difference between the VT/VX and VY/VZ sump. Improved have had a baffle for the VY/VZ sump for a while but it wouldnt fit a VT/VX sump, it was only recently that they released a baffle for the VT/VX sump.
ahh never new that. Wonder what the difference was
April 5, 2016 at 7:52 pm #15437Heat soak is a good reason as to why the MAT sensor should be placed in the correct position also.

April 5, 2016 at 4:27 pm #15434How u find the ASR baffle. I was looking at them but decided on the Improved racing in the end. I did however buy the ASR windage tray.
April 4, 2016 at 8:56 pm #15418U can run a shield that protects it from the oil spray.
March 31, 2016 at 7:42 pm #15370would depend on cams and fuel.
Have ve seen some boosted cars run 10.2:1. But they have some big overlap cams that bleed pressure and drop the dynamic comp. This is e85/meth sort of deal.
March 31, 2016 at 12:09 pm #15363There is test and tune that weekend on the Friday and the Sunday as well. I wouldn’t stress to much.
March 30, 2016 at 4:01 pm #15349I run everything in F when it comes to cars.
March 30, 2016 at 10:26 am #15336Used both the Pro Comp ultra lite and the sport comp liquid filled.
Never had an issue.
March 30, 2016 at 10:19 am #15335Its nice to be able to just get in and enjoy it! Cant wait to see what its going to do in May at Heathcote!
i second this notion
March 29, 2016 at 5:08 pm #1530710-15mins it would of knocked and you SHOULD of heard it. Try get a mech gauge if you can. Not that the electro one should be playing up.
I like to prime my systems with the air compressor that way I know oil is completely throughout the engine.
March 29, 2016 at 9:14 am #15299Looks wickid man.
Not it a fan of the rims. It’s need some phat as Fark 15’s on the back to go with the American muscle theme.
March 29, 2016 at 9:12 am #15298Did you prime the system prior to firing it up?
Screw just the after market gauge straight into the oil pump. It’s very rare that an auto meter gauge fails.
Is it mech or elec gauge.
March 28, 2016 at 7:46 pm #15294Id be suss on why the autometer gauge isn’t reading. Oil in the heads doesn’t necessarily mean it’s got adaquate oil pressure.
March 28, 2016 at 6:43 pm #15292Any photos of the tub work inside the boot area?
March 28, 2016 at 4:05 pm #15287The way I see it you don’t build a motor like this to just put around in. Some sported driving will be inevitable. Motor like this will like and want RPM so it’s going to have to rev to make the most of it.
IMO and what I did was sell the t5 for some decent coin and put that towards somthing you know won’t break.
each to own
