Nah it’s needed for the motor mate. I still need to trim more.

I’m content with the Dunny lid scoop. I refuse to put a cowl on it. This now means the red engine cover won’t fit also. Shit happens.

Slow progress is good progress I suppose.

    Brought and mounted my W2A

Removed my fuel lines. If you zoom you can see them in my backyard

Pulled my fuel tank so I can start running some new lines as well as mod the tank for the larger return.

Also commenced “make these fucking headers fit” (yes Gary, language I know. But they deserve it)

Purchase some 7/8 a 3.5 inch slip on collectors and cut the old ones off.

Also changed the gate on my shifter to a Reverse pattern 3spd. In anticipation. For my t400

..And there lay another problem – the size of most throttle bodies are 1000cfm and more which is way too big for a 304 or 355. Even with 100% VE, a 355 turning at 7500 rpm only requires a TB that flows 770cfm. This reduces air speed and makes less torque in the mid-range. 1000cfm with 100% is nearing 10,000rpm CRD Engineering make a 750cfm TB which is a great match for a well tuned 355.

but it’s only air. Won’t the engine only use what it can take. Efi is dry induction compared to carby

Like the HR in you profile pic, that yours?

    Yes mate, it is mine..

    That’s why I said should LOOK INTO….

</span> Cava, sorry mate I wasn’t having a go… apologies if you took it that way..!! It’s just that the Harrops don’t tend to suffer the (entire bank) fuel distribution the Edelbrock AG seems to possess. Milling out that section tends to hurt light throttle response and a bit of torque, so you’d avoid it if at all possible. I am just not sure what the reason is he’d need to “look into” it.. especially since it appears he doesn’t even have it bolted on the motor yet.

haha all good mate. I’m thick skinneed.

I didn’t know what milling it actual achieved, so good to know now. Just new it helped in some cases. Esp in some SBC

60’s trim up nicely.  Would like to see the duty cycle on those 42’s.

I’ll have big ones in mine.

Seems small for the combo. I would of gone 60’s. Leaves some head room.

Yeah but an ls1 is not much of an upgrade from an old Holden v8, in reality you’d still have to pour a bit of money into it to make it actually perform, which in all honesty a forced induction Holden engine would still be just as driveable and more powerful than a natro ls1, I can understand an LS 2 or 3 conversion coz you instantly have the extra cubes and other goodies but then they aren’t as cheap either so it’s a catch 22

Cam kit and tune can be done for $2k….

Depends on the engine you pick. A ls1 can be done for a total of $5-6k if your smart and know what your doing.

It’s the drivability of Ls that makes it such a positive. A genuine 300rwkw ls can be driven daily no prob a as apposed to a Holden.

each has its pros and cons.

It’s definitely the easiest way to make power, the old 304 in the Calais was making 465rwhp and was surprisingly smooth doing it too, the ss doesn’t need to make anywhere near that power and will be staying natro, I just want a bit more than what it has and I’ll be happy

thats the problem with the 304. Just throwing a cam in generally doesn’t make much more power. Until you start sacrificing drive ability and going bigger cams. But then you need bigger comp etc etc.

you see where I’m going lol.
