Oil shouldn’t effect running temps to the point where it’s noticeable. Dump the oil and refresh with HPR 30 and see how it goes.
Freeway driving won’t bed the rings in properly.
July 20, 2016 at 9:10 am #18611Right you are. Find a steep hill go up and down it for 30-45 mins in top gear around 30-50km. Load the engine up
Dump oil, refills X proceed to WOT

July 20, 2016 at 9:08 am #18609LOL Peasant IRS Having both IRS and Live Axle 1991 cars in my garage right now (and having driving both back to back last night on the same roads), the IRS is leaps and bounds ahead in handling and ride comfort. It’s not a perfect setup but with the tweaks I’ve put into mine I’m now finally happy with it. It doesn’t thump and jar, even with SSSLs in it. The VN has SL’s in it and is much harsher. Now I’ve sorted out the grip issue – Happy days.
hahah
which one handles better throwing hoops
July 20, 2016 at 8:43 am #18604Welcome aboard mate.
July 19, 2016 at 8:04 pm #18596Once the cam is run in and rings bedded, 30-45mins. Drop the oil and go for gold.

July 18, 2016 at 4:24 pm #18539Vizard is up their with Smokey Yunkic also?
July 18, 2016 at 12:06 pm #18535Yeah makes sense. I didn’t tho lol
thinking stud on just that one bolt where I had to slice down the center bolt hole. The rear bank is 1 piece. So in total 3 pieces. 1 double and 2 singles.
Milk use factory bolts everywhere else. They really are a “Cnut” of a header. Piece of shit things.
July 18, 2016 at 11:15 am #18529Yeah I was thinking of using an arp stud on that one.
July 18, 2016 at 10:12 am #18524Yeah I split mine in 2 also. I got the 2 rear pipes in. But couldn’t fit the front 2. I was hesitant with cutting it down the center bolt hole tho.
Did it seal up well?
July 18, 2016 at 8:51 am #18515Don’t mention it’s use. No physical signs to make them think it’s been given a hard time.
July 18, 2016 at 6:22 am #18513My VL diff is as short as you can go. It up to the shocker mount using the drum brake conversion. I’ll measure face to face tonight.
I brought it off the bloke with the 8second White VLT COLSEY
His was untubbed at the time running that diff and a custom 15×8 5bs 255 et streets. But it was fairly raised in the ass end.
July 17, 2016 at 4:11 pm #18496What page is the photos of where you cut the headers to make them fit.
I gave up after 10minutes searching lol.
Ok you got me. It was more like 10seconds.
