Holy fuck that looks unbelievable. Basically how I want mine
August 4, 2016 at 11:34 am #18874Dunno why,but I’m not a fan.
The engine isn’t loaded up like it would in 1:1.
Torque effects HP vice versa so it may be slightly out.
August 4, 2016 at 6:16 am #18869You can see mine. That’s when polish was flawless. But it doesn’t take much to scratch it sadly.
August 4, 2016 at 6:09 am #18868If i remember correctly Gator Inductions was making the fittings cava is talking about, it was about the same price to buy them or buy the weld on -6 fittings and then get them Tig welded on i dont think aeroflow had the complete holden v8 fuel rail kits out when i done mine. i like how mine came up but the only issue i have is every other hose and fitting on the car is black, and the rails are the only thing that is polished
Gator. That’s them.
If polish isn’t your thing you can get the rails anodised pretty cheap.
August 3, 2016 at 6:14 pm #18862Some companies even make a slip in adapter that slides in like the factory metal hose, if tapping or welding a Bung on isn’t your thing
Where do you get these from?
i can’t remember 100%. I just remember seeing them going damn I that’s cool.
Prob aeroflow
August 3, 2016 at 5:14 pm #18858Don’t think so. He got shafted on his motor.
Craig FLI355 is his cousin. Ask him
August 3, 2016 at 4:29 pm #18855I was considering those Aeroflow billet fuel rails. There does seem to be plenty of meat in the rails, just depends on the size of the fittings going into it I guess (that’s why I was asking what most folks are using?). It would seem (looking at those billet rails) that you would also need to modify the fuel lines/FPR to suit?
When I looked into rails it wasn’t worth the piss farting around to do the reg. i went stock rails with welded Bungs (before all this slip in stuff), I used stock reg so it mounted easily, then got Blake from SC to polish them. He actually did a write up for them in the mag haha

August 3, 2016 at 12:15 pm #18848Any fittings will need to be welded on as there’s not enough material in the fuel rail to tap. By the time you’ve bought the fittings and had the rails modified, it’d be cheaper to use something like this: http://tinyurl.com/glgvwwv $160 – cheap and cheerful but quality unknown.. or http://tinyurl.com/j7k4sv6 $180 – Chinese made but better quality and used by lots of guys.
You can tap the rails. Mate of mine used to do it. Pretty sure he could do up to -10
August 3, 2016 at 6:17 am #18844T400 will be the best thing you do to the car.
What clutches are your putting in it? Mates use a twin plate Mantic in his 560rwkw ride. It’s been perfect.
August 2, 2016 at 9:56 pm #18841That the liner. Such a PITA
August 2, 2016 at 6:48 pm #18837I spoke to 3 different engineers across 3 states. 2 said “show me where it says you need a dust seal”
its one out of 3 states is Victoria ?? sound like dont need an dust seal to pass for engineers .. haven’t find an engineers for myself.. yea Im still looking for good brakes not like VT twin brake..
Was actually an engineer in NSW that said they needed to have the dust seals. You can get Wilwoods with dust seals though. My front and rears both have dust seals. Rears also have a built in handbrake into the caliper. Engineered 35 spline full floaters and Wilwoods with a handbrake FTW.
you make me sick hahaha
August 2, 2016 at 12:05 pm #18829Yeah I reckon.
August 2, 2016 at 6:29 am #18826TUF GMH, I used the VT-VZ canister as well, due to it being a nicer shape to mount. I was thinking to putting it under the car, or under one of the guards. But the engineer wanted it as high was it could be. so I ended up mounting it in the boot. pretty much straight above the filter. Still not quite through engineering yet, but the car is out of action for a while. Having a few cooling issues with the PWR radiator, I have sent it back and am awaiting an answer in regards to warranty. hopefully wont take to long. I miss driving it already
Cheers. Are you using one of the usual engineers like Ray Spence or John Wilson? Mine fits neatly on the drivers side in front of the diff, no leaks or heavy smells so far fingers crossed. The fuel tank isn’t the usual setup either. A mate who built the car went with a shortened VU SS setup in a long range tank.
Very different pump setup indeed. Only issue I see is complete tank removal to get to pump, but it’s prob something u only do once if that
ive got to run a purge tank also I’m think of putting it behind drivers side rear wheel well up with the filler tube etc

I think black will look a lot better IMO.
July 31, 2016 at 7:16 pm #18819If you get some from a 6.0ltr they are stronger then the earlier ones.
I snapped and twisted my VZ 5.7 ones.
July 31, 2016 at 5:29 pm #18817I meant in general lol. They look great in black. There was A sedan on SC forum back in the day. Was black also. Looked sinister.
July 31, 2016 at 4:49 pm #188146766 on the rb30 and she will be on song.
Nice pickup. Not many around in black.

July 31, 2016 at 9:59 am #18804MLS, Cometic. Both should be more then up to the task.
Its all in the tune, however. The best gasket won’t survive a medeaoker tune.
July 30, 2016 at 10:29 pm #18796Looking great.
