Been having a play with the rear end since its got back.
Got my rear brakes all installed, nothing special just stock units that have been rebuilt and cleaned up, however they have to come back off as the handbrake adjustment is pretty bad, i forgot about that lol.
Also removed my old link pins for the sway since that’s no longer needed, and tidied up a few hoses in the back, now that i know final location of ARB. I also installed some Pedders springs which a mate gave me, this will raise the rear, give it a nicer ride and keep Mr Engineer happier.

February 18, 2020 at 6:46 am #31406Shouldn’t come as a surprise, Holden have been on life support for a decade, plug should have been pulled long ago..
I agree. Millions of tax pay dollars pumped into them for what now? Waste of time and money.
Holden should of died with the VF.
February 18, 2020 at 6:44 am #31405Nice work can see shit-tonne of hours put into that bay. Petersen catchcan?
Its the Aeroflow copy of it.
February 17, 2020 at 7:45 pm #31398Be an idea to graph out the roll centres Frazer, not looking good from the pics..
Explain? Seems low. How’s the header clearance?
February 15, 2020 at 4:59 pm #31377The Kong dual pass lid doesn’t fit the factory blower unless you machine groves into it. That new blower and lid is killer. They are making great power with them
I could get it under without a scoop but have no interest in doing so.

February 14, 2020 at 8:41 pm #31368Had car at the fabricators over the weekend past. It’s all back now.
He finished off my exhaust making 2 sections. On with my LSA cats fitted and another bypassing them.
He measured my tail-shaft and made me a tail-shaft loop.
Fitted my anti roll, installed all the new bushes I supplied into my rear end. Installed my box control arms and Setup rear pinion angle. So ass end is basically sorted for now.
I’ll get the tail-shaft made next and then I’ll have to tweak some fuel lines as they clashed with the anti roll under the car. Pretty happy with the outcome.
Also gotta put some new springs in the car as she sits a bit low.
February 3, 2020 at 1:19 pm #31291Yeah they are a poo brown historic plate. Which is a shame. But of well
February 2, 2020 at 10:03 pm #31287Pity the plates aren’t FML….
Part of me wants it registered on the OG plates. But it will be going on club rego.
February 2, 2020 at 10:02 pm #31286Looks good mate. It’s surprising how excited you get when you finally clean all the crap off after building a car for so long, I reckon it’s one thing to do if you’re starting to lose the passion to get it done, definitely gets the fire burning again
Your not wrong. I’ve been hanging since Xmas to have it together and rolling so I can wash it lol.
Paint is still “off the gun” from 10+ years ago. Still needs it’s buff. Can’t wait to see how that turns out.
February 2, 2020 at 6:24 pm #31280So big day today. She is finally of the jack stands and has all its body panels on. Been a while since.
Pushed it out and gave it a bath. Got some killer cleaning products over Xmas and I’m very impressed to say the least.
Any ways. Here are the photos. Excuse the tone changes. I just worked out how to do it on the iPhone LOL
January 28, 2020 at 10:49 pm #31236So now we blaze all 4. I like your thinking. Home stretch champ.
January 25, 2020 at 9:33 pm #31213Thanks Gary, trying to do a sanitary install as it makes servicing it easier later on!
Im trying to make it superneat and hidden. And the whole time all I can think about is. If this leaks. Car is going in bin.
January 24, 2020 at 11:33 pm #31203Is yours the Teflon with the nylon over coat or braid?
January 23, 2020 at 8:25 pm #31185What’s a kool tool?
January 23, 2020 at 6:29 am #31177Got a couple hours in the garage last night.
Mounted my catch can. Was very limited on spots it would fit and I refused to drill it to my fire wall. Sooo hidden away it is.
Also got my ricer spec SAAS billet radiator overflow. Surprisingly it’s very well made. With the limited bits I had at home I mocked up something but I’m not happy with it. After consulting some people they too recommended straighten it up. So I’ll get a custom bracket made up Ian cough* cough* lol
Away this weekend. Then when I’m back I’ll tidy up the w2a feed hose under the car and prep it for towing duties to the fab shop. I’ll also give it a bath.
January 21, 2020 at 5:49 pm #31157The explosion gets very tiresome. Braid under the finger nails is worse lol
I found the speedflow stuff pretty flexible. But it’s prob why it’s double the price hahah

January 21, 2020 at 5:46 pm #31156I forgot what it looked like too. Clean no, it’s filthy. But I lashed out on some killer cleaning products so I’ll give it a good scrub this week.
January 20, 2020 at 9:01 pm #31148It’s been along time since it’s has all its panels on. But thought it would be nicer to tow with looking like this.
Intercooler and trans cooler are super stealthy with bar on. Everything and all my lines fit too. Pretty happy with that since I winged it all and forgot to check the bar mounts prior to install lol.
January 20, 2020 at 8:58 pm #31147Looking spot on mate.
January 15, 2020 at 5:58 pm #31102
