April 7, 2017 at 10:43 am #22323Def dont rush into that decision, do your research. A couple of letters differdnt in a name, huge difference is quality….
how so? The CRS Gear I have is near identical to a mates CAE gear
I was really referring to headers and their fitment.
ahh yeah gotcha.
What trips me out is that the CRS 1 7/8 4-1 are identical to the CAE. Only difference being that the crs merge collector is welded on.

April 6, 2017 at 6:10 pm #22299My gear is all CRS. NO issues.
April 6, 2017 at 4:58 pm #22297Yeah same.
After that quick list I gave earlier I start to remember what it kinda costs lol.
April 6, 2017 at 2:10 pm #22293Told you it adds up. Allow 2-3k for misc bits and pieces.
Must have engine brake. Trans brake would be nice also.

April 6, 2017 at 1:39 pm #22288Make sure the t400 has engine brake feature.
April 6, 2017 at 12:08 pm #22284Gary didn’t you have to modify the xmember at all? Just drill?
April 6, 2017 at 9:45 am #22277Sweet. My engineer also suggested swapping to a VR-VS tank, he said they bolt straight in and have a larger capacity.
Nice. Then a 450 walbro will slot straight in.
Would you be interested in a modded ASR windage tray by any chance?
April 6, 2017 at 8:07 am #22274Yeah ls is dead head setup with internal regulator. That’s all you will need I believe. Assuming the walbro fits a VK tank.
April 6, 2017 at 6:33 am #22272I had the same issue with my o2’s. I lost a knuckle before I got the fucker out. Then I ended up stripping the thread and not being able to get a bung in LOL
April 6, 2017 at 6:08 am #22269They will be fine for your application.
That $700 loom won’t apply to you as you have FBW. Make sure the pedal comes with the engine and loom. You will need to get your loom modded.
For fuel. Use a drop in walbro 450 pump and then run one of these.
you also need to change to a front hump sump mate I installed a few mods to my sump for piece of mind.
April 5, 2017 at 7:03 pm #22258If I wasn’t trying to make 800+ Hp I’d just be running Tri Y pacemakers. They are soo much easier to fit.
The new CRS mounts are like tuffmounts.
April 5, 2017 at 2:03 pm #22255T400 ftw. That’s what I’ll be running.
April 5, 2017 at 10:08 am #22247will be significantly cheaper. But it is a 2nd hand engine as apposed to new.
However 39k is fuck all work. So long as it checks out I’d imagine it would be a goer.
April 4, 2017 at 8:51 pm #22243Yeah i no. But it would honestly take me months.
Working 6days lately. Plus a young kid. I don’t wanna be stuck in the garage. I’d just get frustrated and cut corners knowing that I don’t have a car and that I’m not spending time with my kid.
April 4, 2017 at 6:13 pm #22238Oh I didn’t realise u need box and converter also. Allow 6-7k for that. Inc shifter etc
ls3 will be cheaper but not a hell of a lot. You won’t need stuff like water to air and he misc brackets etc but it will still get up there as you need most of the conversion gear etc too.
April 4, 2017 at 4:35 pm #22236I was going to. But I simply don’t have the time or resources ATM. It’s just easier and quicker to pay so I can get the ball rolling.
April 4, 2017 at 4:33 pm #22235Basic run down
lsa $12k
Wiring + ecu $2500
brackets + tensioners. $800
altenbator + bracket $250
conversion kit $2300ish
water to air setup $1000-1500
fuel system $500-600
misc little odds and ends, belts etc $500
exhaust $1500
Flex plate $500
sump + dipstick and oil pickup $250ish
semi decent diff to handle 600hp
I’d allow 18-20k for the engine conversion to be safe
April 4, 2017 at 10:00 am #22226You will be pushing the $20k budget with the LSA imo
