Yeah I’ve seen them on boats before. I might whip one of these then the bleed port.
August 7, 2017 at 5:16 pm #23963Damn that’s ALOT of fuel. Is it on e85 or just pump 98? Do you know why?
August 7, 2017 at 5:00 pm #23960Gotcha. Need to be spoon fed some times lol.
Have u seen or had anything to do with with eunninga sacrificial anode?
August 7, 2017 at 2:58 pm #23954didn’t you say earlierit has to be analogue ?
August 7, 2017 at 2:02 pm #23952That’s along way away lol. But a brother in law has an analogue one which is handy.
August 7, 2017 at 12:25 pm #23950Had another tinker today. Got the HX all mounted. Used rubber gromits. Can confidently say it’s not touching any of the body nor is any of the fasteners used.
August 7, 2017 at 9:38 am #23943Welcome mate. I remeber both those cars from back in the day.
My old ss was very similar to UZWISH
August 7, 2017 at 9:37 am #23941Sounds very similar to mine mate. What colour and welcome on board.
August 6, 2017 at 8:41 pm #23936Cheers mate.
I’ve got a 15L ice box in the boot. My cooling system should be MORE then capable now.
August 6, 2017 at 6:50 pm #23933Didn’t know u can too much. Battery will be in boot so a few grounds will be changed.
Funny u mention the engine earth. When the cable on my ute come loose it would die even whilst moving.
Battery, stater, alternator, Engine trans and x member.
August 6, 2017 at 6:20 pm #23929I’m a stickler for earth. I’ll be making sure it’s got plenty.
Does it matter that my coolant tank is in the boot?
August 6, 2017 at 5:18 pm #23926Ahh u ok. Thought it had to be running to test it.
Anyways here are some snaps on how it’s mounted [
Brought some of these. Thinking I’ll drill holes and use and nut and bolt with washers either side to mount the L brackets. Down the bottom I might do similar with a thinner piece of rubber on the bottom as the bottom prongs touch under side of radiator ATM.
August 6, 2017 at 2:35 pm #23924Yeah I’ve got the instructions on testing current.
Trying my best to make sure it’s not touching anywhere.
Where did you test the HX Ian. It doesn’t have a fill point to fit the barb in.
August 6, 2017 at 11:13 am #23914Ahh yeah I get ya. I’ll get some snaps on how I did it later. Tell me what you think.
August 6, 2017 at 10:00 am #23912Ahh ok cool.
How come u run it like that? Is it pressurised?
Jut tap a small hole in the back of the air box. It will look stealth.
August 6, 2017 at 9:21 am #23911I use rubber isolator mounts, they have an M6 stud on either side and look like mini engine mounts, for larger things you can get them with M8 studs. You need to do a stray current check in both exchangers as it’ll kill your pretty new parts in weeks if present…
Any photos of said mounts?
August 5, 2017 at 8:51 pm #23907I’ve got rubber on the bottom tabs. I ran out of bits for the top. It’s gotta come apart at some point so I’ll add them then
August 5, 2017 at 8:30 pm #23905How is the exchanger mounted Cav?
up top there is L bracket off the 2 m8 bungs.
The bottom flap will bolt down under the radiator.
I do have to find a 1/4NPT bleed hose which I’m struggling to find.
can the blowers get that high in psi and still be efficient what are they factory
So long as the cooling system is up o the task. Factory is 8psi.
Boost is a measure of restriction also. So with a can change and better heads with same pulley it will prob be around 12-14.
August 5, 2017 at 8:21 pm #23904I like to complicate things.
Gary the chrome reservoir. Looks like it’s for coolant.
August 5, 2017 at 8:05 pm #23902What’s why 2 catch cans work best.
One vents and the other inhales.
