You might find your better off with a 255. So it helps with RPM over the line.
September 19, 2017 at 3:23 pm #24519I’d personally just go manual steering.
September 19, 2017 at 1:57 pm #24517Good write up Renno. But his keen using 100series hose on the pressure side of a power steering system.
Be interested to see if the 100 series held up to the pressure, especially holding full lock in a drift.
exactly. Full noise. Full lock.
Imagine a hose let go.
September 19, 2017 at 12:38 pm #24515Also what’s new engine expected to rpm too and what’s ur rear end ratio?
September 19, 2017 at 12:36 pm #24514Would a set of intercepter rims not fit?

September 16, 2017 at 11:26 pm #24485wow that’s shocking at least you stripped it now, are these built in oz or usa ..hey cava are the lsa’s like yours built in the same place yours is a crate motor as-well I assume
The lsx is a crate engine where as the LSA is a factory engine. So the build quality should be very different. I hope. Id also totally flush all the oil system, good call on that. I’d call up the supplier, you might of owned it 3 years but I’m sure you would be able to prove how long it’s actaully been running and how many km’s it’s done. Fair to say under 5000km?
So Cava do you know where both engines get built I just assumed same place [/quote
Factory engine will be Mexico somewhere. LSX is aftermarket so who knows.

September 15, 2017 at 3:54 pm #24463Very ordinary to say the least. Does the engine not have a warrenty at all?

September 12, 2017 at 11:48 am #24391I believe 6L is a lot bigger and the 4L80 is marginally.
I think I saw a 6L80 in a vp without any mods tho. Can’t remeber where.
September 12, 2017 at 6:56 am #24384Everything engine and box related will be off the shelf bolt in.
The trans however will be another story. I believe they don’t fit the tunnel so to some extent the tunnel will need some mods.
September 11, 2017 at 10:30 am #24350Could pcv running via un filtered air intake played apart? Could of got some debree in the oil
September 10, 2017 at 7:44 pm #24341it’s an expensive engine to learn on is what he meant.
If brenton does all the measuring, and pre checks etc. the final assembly is the easy part.
September 9, 2017 at 10:14 pm #24325Lucky you caught it early. I seen the photos on FB. Generally tuning issues do hammer the main bearings. Esp like that.
Your in good hands.
