I was talking about scan gauge 2 not NGauge.
June 28, 2020 at 4:34 pm #32453All the idiots who went and protested deserve to die anyways. So let’s hope the virus kills and few of them before we find a cure.
June 25, 2020 at 9:15 pm #32434Havent done much over the last couple of months, got it out a few times for a quick squirt. Done a couple of small skids, lights up easy as on the brakes haha. Rear springs have settled so I’ll be getting the rear guards rolled cause it is scrubbing with the kids in the back. Had a go at doing it myself but the roller didnt fit on properly and I didnt want to push my luck and crack the paint. Got my eye on three guages, oil pressure, water temp and trans temp. All electric. Cant get a firm price on a sparky to wire them up and I dont want a ridiculous bill so I’m thinking about having a crack myself. The factory dash temp and oil guages work so I might be able to just tap into those wires. I’ll mount the trans temp sender in the pan. Anyone have any tips on wiring guages?
You wire them to their senders. Can’t piggy back off factory stuff.
If you want It simple go mechanical gauge. If not electric is the way to go. The instructions and pretty good.
Or you can run something like a Scan Gauge 2 which will display heaps more info.
June 21, 2020 at 9:29 pm #32395Just u land down the drive way. Car is very rich atm. So not risking a big drive or starting it much more. Not until the tune is in check.
June 20, 2020 at 9:09 pm #32384So just quietly. I drove it today
June 18, 2020 at 6:45 am #32357Hahha. I was hoping you’d bite so I can tell you to hide it under the carpet lol.
June 16, 2020 at 5:48 pm #32346<p style=”text-align: left;”>not doing hidden wiring?</p>
June 14, 2020 at 6:27 pm #32336Changed my plugs yesterday. Drivers side rear is “interesting”.
So much better with the pacemakers. I’m glad I gave up on the 4-1’s in the end. I can do all, in 10minutes.
Unless I cross thread it. Then it blows out hahahah
June 12, 2020 at 7:02 pm #32323Not having much luck of late. Couldn’t find the TCI lever kit, but was told the B&M is the same as they come out of the same factory…turns out it fits and lines up every gear but reverse. So back to the drawing board to chase the correct part, which should now land late next week.
Partially devo as i could of taken it for a drive but i cbf taking it of the jack stands only for it to go back on in a weeks time.
Also cross threaded a spark plug, fixing they wasnt fun…….
Hopefully next weekend she can move under her own power.
June 10, 2020 at 8:27 am #32310Im a bit late to the party but great thread Cava. Ive just read it from start to finish over the last couple of days. Love the clean and simple styling. Do you know the bore size of the VZ master cylinder and if theres any advantage over a VT booster/master combo? On my VN I run VT booster/master with VE front calipers and 330mm discs, and was planning on the same for my VG ute. I actually already have a VZ booster/master but didnt think it would work just splitting the front line out the one port. My VN set up works pretty good, but the fronts can lock up a little too easily.
Im pretty sure it’s the same size wise. Only difference between them its only 2 ports instead of the 3/4 like a regular setup. So I went with this being neater.
I split the fronts, I’ll soon find out how it goes. Worse cause a proportioning valve can be installed.June 8, 2020 at 10:15 pm #32303We are talking different parts. I e already changed the gate on the shifter that parts cool. But I these brackets here are different between the glide and t400
Hammer will be employed if need be Gary hahah
June 8, 2020 at 8:46 pm #32300Also bled my brakes today. Come up a treat. Couple of weeps, but I’ll that that for the first time I’ve made brake lines for a car.
Also in a quest to find the biggest tire to fit under the ass end, I’ve acquired a set of 255/35, 265/35 & 275/35’s lol. 255’s fit comfortably so I just fitted the 275’s. I rekon they will fit but I won’t Know exactly until it’s back on the ground.
fingers crossed
June 8, 2020 at 8:41 pm #32299Is your shifter set up as Glide or 400?
Shifter is to suit glide. So the cable bracket doesn’t bolt to the box. And I’m using the glide selector leg.
I’ve literary just picked up a cable bracket from a mate. Fingers crossed I can make it work with the glide selector.

June 8, 2020 at 6:48 pm #32296Little bit disappointed today. Pulled the hat off the diff. Doesn’t have the 3.45’s I thought it had. Just a regular 3.08 diff
Any how, I’ll give it some fresh oil and and change the gears when I eventually build the diff.
Also think I’ve sourced the correct brackets for my shifter. I learnt the other day that the linkages under the car didn’t fit as I originally brought the shifter when I had the glide. Now it’s a t400.
June 8, 2020 at 6:45 pm #32294Half the reason why I just paid someone for a custom loom. But mainly cause I’m shit and hate wiring hahah.
June 7, 2020 at 6:57 pm #32288Sounds good dude.Reasonably quiet too!
Yeah it is. 4 cats and 3 mufflers will do that.
Soon as I get the right brackets for my shifter, I’ll pull it out the garage and get a proper video of it.
June 2, 2020 at 5:39 pm #32245Cruise control…… really?
May 24, 2020 at 6:43 pm #32209Box is all done. Fired her up and we got 40psi on the trans cooler lines. So I’m pretty happy. Tick
May 23, 2020 at 9:08 pm #32204Gave it a nudge today and thanks Ian Ian for spinning me up some spacers I got the box out and then converter sorted today. All that’s left is drop some oil in and fire the car back up.
I also purchased an auto meter oil pressure gauge, since it’s one thing my ecu doesn’t display on the ic7. Also got a mount of Gary and I’m rather pleased with how it looks.
