No spacers. Bonnet would be 5-10 from the underside of the group a scoop.

Throttle body had to be installed upside down to fit also.

Few more parts starting to arrive. Moroso Battery box came today as well as my OKC fuel rails. 👌👌👌

Car is going to mates house on weekend so we can get a start on the wiring side of things. 👌

Yeah that makes a masssssssive difference. I never seen them before. Aside from the ones to suit the round carby type filters.

Do you know of a 5inch inlet filter but the equivelant size to yours?

Been doing some reading in the states and they are getting great gains by going 5 inch.

I’m piecing bits and pieces together. Got my MAF card and billet MAF Mount on route from USA.

I just brought what I needed. I couldn’t tell you what a complete kit has. But if it saves you the effort. Just get it and keep the extras for a rainy day.

Will you be assembling the Cam etc with the engine out?

Do you need a sump gasket? I may have one.

What headers mate? That’s the first time I’ve ever seen anyone have to cut to make it work.

Looks good mate. What size intake you running. I’m chasing a pod like that. But in 5inch opening. How does that sock around it go?

Just picked up my radiator, heat exchange and headers from Race Coatings.

All got done in a ceramic thermal displacement coat. Come up killer and very well priced.

    Yep shit rule.

Had a big day today bay is ready for paint. Good mate Tony come past. Helped me remove engine and all the body parts. Also Sussed out the wiring etc and a plan of attack

Thankfully we removed the sump again just to double check everything I did last time it was out.

Turns out it was a big life saver. There was metal shavings in the sump from where the bolts have stripped the holes in the baffle kit.

    THANKFUCK we caught it.

Yeah goes over the limit. Of cubic inches to weight for boosted application.

Standard clamps or stainless would work.

Plug sits in the fuel and prongs to the existing ones.

Your last dot point has been haunting me for 3 years haha.

You can always hose clamp the pump in place. Make sure it is at the correct height.

Then u can weld the clamp to the existing hanger so u know it won’t move with vibration.

I have just spent the last 2 nights reading through your build and all I can say is wow CAV!!!!! My hat comes off to you. So I am about to set off on a similar journey however not as hard core!!! I have a few questions for you all My Plans: VS LSA & T56 Combo. How big of a KFrame space will be required to reframe from utilising the group a toilet seat?

WILL NEED 50mm ID IMAGINE, if you have any chance of fitting stock hat

UNLESS U USE UGLY CTSV HAT IMO and then still use 30mm spacers

Will engineers sign off with KFrame spacers?

DONT KNOW IF THEY ARE LEGAL

Do you have a link to the caddie hats ?

NEGATIVE. WILL, NEED TO BUY FROM USA, AROUND $500isg

Parts I am currently thinking of using * tuff mounts thoughts? * GOOD

    Pacies, thoughts? * EASIER

Astra power steering thoughts? * NEVER USED ONE

Gearbox mounts? *TUFF MOUNT WITH RUBBER MOUNT

    W2A pump Brand recommendation *

SAME AS ME, I CAN SUPPLY BOUT $550 depending US dollar

    Electrical A/c pump, any recommendations

DEPENDS IF LOW MOUNT OR HIGH

I Will definitely use PWR rad & Heat exchanger & Vz booster and master. Lastly if I am reading this correctly you will be engineering this as N/A? Thanks Daniel

I CAN GET YOU A PWR HEAT EXCHANGER THAT WILL FIT YOUR SHAPE ALSO

    ABOUT $850ish

    CANT engineer with blower.

Hopefully this is In the sweet spot. I do plan on giving it some decent boost. Hopefully doesn’t flare it too much.

The bloke said there is plenty to move with the stator in this. So if it needs re adjusting in future it’s no big deal.

Hopefully in next couple weeks can have some decent updates.

What’s your engineer said about running an Adjustabke Reg? I know some don’t like it.
