I was under the impression, not venting it would keep it some what legal. When you had your canister you ran seperate lines to the catch can. Did you run a vacuum line off that at all?
Legal it will be. But the venting will somewhat be hampered. I never run a vac line to it.
Fully vented.
July 29, 2019 at 8:54 pm #29298Why don’t you want to go vented?
I just had the rocker covers and valley breather running to the one catch can.
Drain was just a plug which I tipped into the sink lol.
July 28, 2019 at 10:47 am #29277Dragging on. LOL.
July 27, 2019 at 4:27 pm #29267Got f/glass plenum cover on vp ute….twice as much junk gets in there than factory plastic item. You’re getting there dude!!!
Yeah I have the same one. I’ll just clean it regularly. But tbh it’s not like it’s going to be driven if shit weather overly much.
Did the brake lines today. Then Ian ruined my day and said I did it wrong. Bastard.
July 25, 2019 at 4:29 pm #29246Twin into single are generally very loud.
Personally. A minimum of twin 2.5. But good mufflers and mandrel bent.
July 24, 2019 at 5:51 pm #29219Just put restrictor plates on the flanges and build one good system. That’s what I’m doing
I had hand made Dfillipo mufflers and they were killer. Made it real quiet but kept that v8 sound.
Dale at castle hill would have to be up there in Australia’s top 5 tuners. You will be in good safe hands.
July 23, 2019 at 10:09 pm #29198Not familiar with the vr but does water go down where your going to put coils
It does. I’ll make sure everything is sealed up with polyurethane once I do it.
July 23, 2019 at 7:25 am #29195Mick’s. Loving the jokes….but maybe just make one post and keep adding to the post every time you suss a new one.
Dont know if I missed it but did you have a build thread/greeting post or anything?
July 22, 2019 at 8:32 pm #29193Haha my bays empty. I mocked everything up and measured everything. So I had a clear run at it all.
July 22, 2019 at 7:45 pm #29191Gave it another nudge this weekend. Finished the fuel setup under the car. Must admit there is shit everywhere in a limited space. But it works and I can remove it all in 5mins. So easily gain access to the filters etc.
Finished the last bit of my hard lines too. Tank is back in place after 4 years sitting on the bench. Also picked up a plastic tank cover too. So that went on also.
Excuse the larger then life hose clamps. I need to change them to something more HD anyways as I’m using 1/2” hose on a 5/8” barb.
Also decided on coil location. Was going to be behind the engine but I much prefer this.
Lastly made a start on the brake lines.

July 9, 2019 at 6:17 am #29060With all this whinging even im more productive then you.
July 7, 2019 at 6:40 pm #29034They should all be interchangeable I would of thought.
Try conpressed air when your dry cranking it next time. That should help promote oil pressure.
Also the factory oil pressure sensor is on the back of the valley plate.

July 6, 2019 at 7:42 pm #29029Not much happening as usual. Been working 7day weeks the last 3 weeks.
Have done another order of 3/16 stainless fittings so I can now concentrate on making my brake lines. I’ve done some templates and it should be rather simple.
Ive also sent my old Speedflow braided brake hoses into MSCN and they will make me a set of crimped ADR approved hoses.
June 29, 2019 at 8:39 pm #28990Sounds like you need a guy with hammer. So happens, I have a hammer.
June 24, 2019 at 7:06 am #28964Yeah none of the crate motors come with that. Which is stupid as they need it to run the blower drive
You only have to change the bracket if you boost it 25% or above. Other then that you can just keep the factory bracket. If I would of known I would have just suggested buying the offset bracket straight up to save some $$$ You would of had change from $400
