April 25, 2015 at 7:29 pm #5609Why the addictive?
got plenty mates running it with 0 issues?
April 24, 2015 at 8:35 am #5505If your 100% keen on a new motor. I know of a LEGIT 550HP 355 for sale. MCEComp built the motor. (Refer to link above and current STREET MACHINE mag).
Its a a no shit big dollar motor. Has TTB on it also. His lookin to sell. It’s only done dyno time
Maybe u could sell ur current motor complet and buy his??? Will be FAR cheaper then building.
April 24, 2015 at 8:22 am #5501Dont be fooled that big stall can’t be driven on the street with nice manners. I have 0 issues with my 5200.
Cast heads can make that power esp with e85 fuel. Come in cheaper then alloys most likely. However if you were to go alloy id be going -9. They are far superior to anything come make.
Todd Foley drive his 620HP 383 on the street. His even gone as far as driving from Geelong to Heathcote busting out a 9 and then crusing home.

April 24, 2015 at 5:55 am #5498Show me a holden engine that’s made 600hp with a hydrolic cam and cast heads on e85
my post should read
Nice MECH roller not HYD roller. My bad
April 23, 2015 at 10:06 pm #5457I’ve just upgraded my fronts and rebuild my stock rears. Much better then the old VT brakes.
If if your gunna track it a bit u might wanna get some Good brakes. Mate runs AP and they just about make u kiss the front window.
April 23, 2015 at 8:51 pm #5452Tony will do it with ease. His done it plenty times before. However allow the better part of 15k and then some. He will do it with his CAST heads and a nice HYD roller. Will be strictly e85 with over 13.5:1 Id assume, going off some other stuff I’ve seen him build.
600hp will need a twin plate clutch. Personally stalled auto is your friend when ur talking this sort of HP

April 23, 2015 at 6:44 pm #5435I dare say it will be there entry level 383 motor.
Comp won’t be massive and it will be there ported cast heads.
Could be as cheap as milling heads to increase comp and throw in a bump stick to suit.
All depends what u want out of it. Like manta said (name blank), with
bigger power comes a lot of extra costs. T56 might be good, but is the clutch…
it all all spirals out of control. Hahah
April 23, 2015 at 2:22 pm #5412But you know what crate motor it is don’t you?
All comes down to budget in the end.
April 23, 2015 at 1:38 pm #5405rather then pulling it out. Just put a bigger cam.
April 23, 2015 at 11:45 am #5397Supposed to be a COME CSBR436. Power is all over by 5300. When he hurt it at powercruise maybe it had something to do with the cam and as a consequence of work done the cam timing is out.
Its prob making 400 ish HP at the fly with that cam.

April 22, 2015 at 7:08 pm #5341Don’t know if there is off the shelf for it. My VR used to have that with only a middle muffler. Sounded balls
April 22, 2015 at 6:06 pm #5335Twin 2.5 into single 3 sounds wickid.
April 22, 2015 at 3:20 pm #5316Dont run the tank below 1/4 and you will be right. But it’s one of those things where it comes down to personal preference.
April 22, 2015 at 2:41 pm #5310Surge is only there to stop fuel surge.
Nothing power related
walbro do a 430lph version of the gss342
April 22, 2015 at 12:12 pm #5301pump 98,near bang on 400rwhp for me(n/a) interested in what people are using & where there putting it but what ever you got & your happy with it i was going to use 040 bosch in tank to custom serge above diff with 044 hanging off that with std 5/16 lines to reg then 3/8 to rails, return to serge, with serge overflow to main tank.sounds easy a.
A single Intake walbro will meet your needs.
However
If surge is the go. Stock in tank pump to surge. Single 044 to rails, factory Bosch reg. Return to surge. Surge overflow to main tank. All stock fuel lines. Done.

April 22, 2015 at 8:38 am #5270Gunna be Sooo much better with the Torque Power on it.
April 22, 2015 at 8:33 am #5269Live and learn. It’s not a big deal anyway. It’s still a GOOD motor. Just not as powerful as you thought
Dale and Tony are 2 of the best in their business in SA.
