The thing to me is the LSx is produced in the US with a population of 300m people. There are so many people developing heads, cams, induction etc etc. I just can’t see how an Aussie product will ever compete especially on price HP for HP, it just comes down to market size. If I was making that block I would be seeing if it’s feasible for it to take LS heads. That would open up a world of options. Good discussion btw.
Cant be developing a holden based block and then tell them, ” hey you gotta run some 241 heads”
Nothing wrong the Holden heads. Believe it or not there are certain blokes that can push a genuine 700Hp + through the cast heads.
May 21, 2015 at 6:22 am #7082That turbo is an Absoutle work of art. As is the rest of the build
How in the hell did you find that turbo.
May 20, 2015 at 3:31 pm #7056Stalled auto will be the best move u ever make. Slap a glide in it and never look back.
May 20, 2015 at 3:29 pm #7055The new holden block is meant to shit all over any aftermarket LS block. Torque doesn’t win races…..
That’s a big call, but they said the same thing between big paw and SBC back in the day. Look how that turned out for them.
So I’m told. Time will tell. It’s certainly looks the goods and offers everything an LSx block offer bar LSx is 6bolt mains (4 top, 2side) the TP is still traditional 4 bolt
May 20, 2015 at 6:03 am #7048Couldn’t be more off the mark mate.
You must of brought a dud that just looked shiney on the out side….
Absoutly nothing wrong with a car from VN-VZ with over 100k on the clock that’s been looked after.
Got ot a VR with nearly 170km and a VZ with 185km. Non are remotely showing any signs of what you stated.

Been looking at generic w2a coolers. Some cheap ones going around. Wonder if there is any science behind them

May 17, 2015 at 10:51 am #6926Yes it does Cav, drag racing is not the only form of racing!!! Its funny the point u are talking about as the guy who dynoed my motor said it would smash a ls1 with more power. Not sure reasoning for this comment
U make more torque then me yet I’m .9 faster

May 14, 2015 at 1:57 pm #6833Build the engine right and it won’t need it. Unless it’s a situation like lj where the sump integrity was compramiaed
