Pretty sure yellow top is the top of the range one. But nothing wrong with the red tops either.
September 13, 2015 at 3:04 pm #9164Pretty sure dale bickham did similar but took heaps off the heads and had to cut valve reliefs into pistons. Think it performed okay. He detailed it on the old forum. Put engine in vk in the end and think was in the 10s? Sketchy on exact details but should be able to find it
The 10 seconds motor had a big stick in it. His vz is the one your thinking of. It ran high 11’s
September 12, 2015 at 6:13 pm #9146Very interesting reading the latest Street Machine LSx Tuner mag. Guy with a killa blue meanie replica running an LSA, hes running mid 9s, has powerglide, 3.5 rear, 3500 stall. I reckon what I am going for is preety spot on (hopefully!)

September 11, 2015 at 12:20 pm #9122Whats the run down with the glide? What goodies are in it.
September 9, 2015 at 7:11 am #9051You would be looking at $1300-1500 just for the conversion. $500-750for the clutch (if a good one isn’t inc with the conversion) then prob $1000-1500 to fit.
September 4, 2015 at 8:32 am #8966Just thinking last night I need a new one. What I’ve been using all my life now does have the capacity to lift my cruiser off the Ground. ????
August 30, 2015 at 10:45 pm #8856Improved racing baffle is $350 from memory. The ASR setup is very much the same.
What ever I get cheaper I’ll prob run.
August 30, 2015 at 6:46 pm #8845I’ll be running a VY/VZ sump with improved racing baffles and gates

August 23, 2015 at 9:19 pm #8704If you got the torque a glide equipped vehicle will be faster.
August 23, 2015 at 9:14 pm #8703If you took ur stock Vr/VS arms to a good fabricator they could mod them to be adjustable.

August 15, 2015 at 11:31 pm #8471I bought TCI pan for my T700. It gave an additional litre of fluid capacity, cooling fins and a drain plug. I then tapped a 1/8″ NPT thread into the pan, as it was cast aluminium and had plenty of wall thickness. Was around $250 from memory. If using a steel pan, put the drain plug at the rear (diff end) as the engine and trans has a slight tilt to the back. Temp sender can go anywhere, the lower in the pan the better.
