Modified the standard sender on the trimatic to accept my t5 transducer.

Thought the the speed sensor bolts directly into a glide.

Oil FLOW is more important then pressure. If it’s done right it will be fine.

Good stuff. I can’t open the photos. What power and torque did it make?

Had a 250×150 Bursons brand cooler on my 5200 trimatic. Never an issues it what the shop who did my box supplied.

Like others have said if your going to go power steering cooler (shouldn’t worry bout on street car) run an external.

Lol, yea my car is sort of a hybrid street car, granted its fully legal, and I want to drive it as often as I can. But the reality its a 600+ hp car, I mean its just not a regular drive in your Toyota Yaris, so having to do things a little out of the norm doesn’t faze me really. I reckon I will stick to the current plan and see how I like it. Mate I am there with bells on, not sure if we can, but love to sit in the passenger seat whilst you have a crack at Collingrove, actually a bit of a bucket list car wise for me. I want to do the same with my lad in mine, but he is saying it needs a racing seat, harness and cage, which right now would sort of kill the vibe of the car, but one day maybe.

Not sure if they allow ride alongs, if they do no probs!

Works the same, only difference is the Reverse gate, you lift the shifter handle to get it into reverse and park, multi handle shifters are a PITA in a street car… No probs we can arrange that!

    isnt the quicksilver gated??

Yeah it is but it’s a Vertical Gate Single lever deal.

as in 1st to 2nd shift has a throw. Not ratcheting action.

I’ve changed from drive to reverse in a 4L60 at 60km/h and it didn’t do anything. I think the computer must’ve stopped it from changing.

Apples and Oranges mate. Completely differently.

Mate hit Reverse at 140kph. Not cause he selected it. But cause the shitty cable stretched. Did about 3x 360’s and nearly wiped the car into the wall.

These MECH boxes WILL select reverse if commanded too

Maybe your right though, sort of gone so far down the legal path so far, probably doesn’t make sense to stuff it up for the sake of a small lever. And I guess it only means cutting a small slot. Starting to think I leave it as is. cheers for that.

exactly right it’s a simple cut with a dremel which I think your more then capable of.

You have to lift the handle on the lever in a stock auto. It doesn’t just push through.

Every car not just Holden have a button or a gate that stops you from smashing it straight into reverse from D or N.

MarZella did it. You just have to drill the riverts out from memory.

Pretty sure to be LEGAL it has to be there. Other wise u can hit reverse. At speed. Which is very bad. Mate did it at 140kph

Ita just safe insurance. Rather stall at the lights then loose motor. I’ll be running 2 pumps that solo can feed the engine enough.
