Ive stopped and started a lot of times in my life lol. Effectively I’m qualified but I have to do 1 more year at TAFE and then 1 year on the job to be signed off.

I hate that mine isnt started yet…

Goodridge used to be good for evos and rexes, not sure if they make holden stuff. Been a few years since I used them but price was good, as was quality.

Waking up and knowing I never have to go back to my old job again!!!!! And looking forward to finally getting my ticket as a qualified mechanic. I believe I may have the record for the longest apprenticeship in history. Started in 1988 and should be qualified sometime in 2017 lol!!!

We have a Skyline locally in a very similar colour but the Clubby looks a treat.

And to think we old folks used to use actual maths to calculate this stuff hehehe. Good site Gary, have used a couple of these when I did an engine building course.

Hey NickVR. I was just going with my experience of Dayco belts. Have them on both my cars and also customers have purchased them for me to fit and almost all of them squeal. I wasn’t aware Dayco had changed their manufacturing so I will see what happens. Appreciate the feedback on them though.

Ok, did a quick search and couldn’t find anything for the handbrake shoes but there are differences in the rotors as follows:

VT – diameter = 286 mm, hat height = 78.6 mm, thickness = 16 mm, centre hole diam = 70 mm

VE – diameter = 302 mm, hat height = 56 mm, thickness = 22 mm, centre hole diam = 67.4 mm

Without looking too hard, I do think there are a couple of differences. I will check the specs.

I work in warehousing for a performance boat manufacturing company, and as a mechanic in my spare time.

Much prefer mechanic work though. Originally wanted to be a fighter pilot in the RAAF, but took the easy way out cos I was lazy then lol.
