It’s a lot cheaper and more straight foreward with a factory fitted motor.

Happy to design and make one of these up for you (or anyone else).  I would just charge the regular cost ($140) and do all the 3D modelling etc for nothing, but after would offer them on my website.  I actually think it would look super neat.

That makes me sad, if only I had stuck with the stock LS3.  I paid a number of times more than that just because of the bloody emmision testing.  This thing will be a weapon mate in a little, light, 1st gen.

Good stuff, interesting about the welding certification, mine didn’t need/want that, just goes again to show how it can vary subtly between engineers on what they accept.  Looks like no surprises there though, well done.

Always good to give yourself a deadline.  Looks like you have the bulk of it sorted.

I bought something a bit like that a long way back (can’t for the life of me remember its name) but was pretty clunky.  And you had to touch buttons on the back of it to enter.  So it made it so you couldn’t build it into the dash or whatever.  So this one looks like you could, say the din pocket under the radio in a VR/S for example with a co…[Read more]

Yea they do, tbh I was a little unsure about it after reading it.  They never ran the article by me at all, just wrote it after speaking to me by phone and published it.  Hopefuly I come across ok.  Its still a little cool to see it, especially on the corner of the cover
