There’s a truckload of detail in that, nice work. Soon you can get onto the fun bit!

Nah I don’t mate. My lid just clear the group a scoop and TB just clears the bonnet skin.

More so in retro spec to ground clearance.
I don’t know if you have mentioned it or not but what’s your engineer say? I’m shocked if they say yes.
Out of curiosity. What’s a CTSV hat worth? Is the cost difference that much? Bear in mind you could sell you brand new zl1 lid for decent money. ESP to someone in USA. Those guys are always looking…[Read more]

50mm will make headers a nightmare IMO. Collectors will hang heaps low.
will require brake lines etc to be modified. So keep that in mind. It would open a can of worms

Yep, noted. All good. Nothing wrong with wanting to keep it all under the bonnet

Cool, cheers, I guess realistically you are hardly going to do anything with them once they are done.

Also just sorted out all the panels I need, planning a 4 week holiday possibly in November to have a decent crack at it. The parts all need to be freighted out from Germany so there’s quite a lead time. Got a decent price for them all, freighted to my door (as long as you are sitting down when they tell you). So should be placing that order so…[Read more]

Easier to access it that way. Facing the other way is a pain as cage is on way. This way I can do it from folding down rear seat.

Thanks might check that out… As I say now there are a few similar colours.

Just thinking out loud, I assume with a 50mm spacer, you need to compensate with the coil overs adjusted down 50mm. Won’t that mean the lower suspension wishbone angles up at the end 50mm at normal ride height, does that affect anything like bump steer or whatever?

Like to see a vid or pics of that in action!!

Why did you run the lines over the battery connections? Wouldn’t it have been better to turn the surge tank 180 degrees?.

Running the lines under the car is a prick of a job, especially with no hoist. Trying to pick locations for everything is a pain as well, how you’ll run the exhaust will impact where to mount the lines, filters etc. [/quote
Yeah I did it all on my back. Suprisingly I nailed it first go all in one length with hard drawn. Just need to flare each en…[Read more]

Fuel system was always going to be stainless. Has to be. Fingers crossed engineer likes it.
Under the car will be the next battle. There will be a lot going on with 2x filters and the Flex sensor

Bloody hell. That’s a BIG spacer.
I wouldn’t go bigger then 25mm personally. Change the blower hat. Or Mill the top of the one you have.

Highly unlikely.
My mate with a VP used 25mm spacers and a ctsv hat. It JUST fit.
I have a feeling you have even less clearance.

Are they legal?

You will actually find they are better. Whilst the don’t have as good a brick, they are capable of flowing more air.
