Found another nice piece of the puzzle, looks like I have scored a nice set of correct 1987 VL Berlina hubcaps. The guy may also have the correct radio, although I am a little scared at what price he may want for it given they seem to be as scarce as rocking horse shit, and as sort after as successful outcome from Brexit.

Lot more involved with doing a section of hard line. Plus buy the time you do all the adapters etc it will be 200mm long

Will try to get some on the weekend. Tbh no I didn’t think to actually see what the intake temps were before. I can say that before after a while if I lifted the bonnet it was hot as hell under there. It’s way better now, but I appreciate that not a very scientific measurement unit

I think it is MX Grey and no reason at all. I believe it has to be a paint with some additive that makes it a little flexible so it doesn’t flake off. Worse case in a couple of years or whatever you do it again.

I reckon that would look way better if you made up some hardlines out of tube down to the bottom left of the engine and coat them black. Then just the flexible hoses across to the cooler with 90 degree fittings.

I really enjoyed my self at HbH. So whilst there I decided to finally get off my butt and formally join the Commodores and Classic Holden Enthusiasts (CACHE) car club. I would like to start doing some club cruises, meeting, etc, and they seem like a genuinely nice group of fellow enthusiasts. Turns out they are doing a display of some club cars at…[Read more]

Good news. The thermo fan should be all controlled via the ECU.
Does the car have a tune in it?

ahh ok. Wasn’t too sure to be honest.
The one I have is flexible but I’d imagine the more you try and dodge the more you take off the overall length of it. Then you may have issues with it not reaching the bolt hole

Dunno how big the Ac is to be honest.
The factory dipstick location on LSA is on the block and the back. It’s now on the front in the sump. So it could potentially clash

What a great show. Super happy with how the car presented. But also ran, started etc flawlessly. After the event was a long slow cruise up to Holden’s factory and through, temps, pressures etc perfect the whole time. Then on the way home gave it a couple of hits on a quiet road on the way home. Holy shit it literally smokes them endl…[Read more]
