Been having a play with the rear end since its got back.
Got my rear brakes all installed, nothing special just stock units that have been rebuilt and cleaned up, however they have to come back off as the handbrake adjustment is pretty bad, i forgot about that lol. Also removed my old link pins for the sway since that’s no longer needed, and…[Read more]

I’m trying to get my head around this. So if you were to cut out the middle of the K frame and lower it. You would achieve the same thing as spacing it down but the suspension geometry would remain standard? is that right. Not saying to do it btw, but if the K frame spacers are legal maybe a modified K frame is a better way to go?

I agree. Millions of tax pay dollars pumped into them for what now? Waste of time and money.
Holden should of died with the VF.

Well, if ever there was to be a book written on how not to handle the withdrawal of your manufacturing from a country, surely chapter 1 would be a case study of Holden.
RIP, so so sad…

You get a lot of those kind of niggles to sort. Especially once you get used to it and start to be able to notice the little things. It’s all part of a big swap imo.

Couldn’t resist squeezing in an hour or two. Scored a donor door off Cooper that had the lower curved part. Interesting the height difference isn’t there, so the mod I had to do to the lower part I now have to make this part to suit. must be just natural variances in years etc. Also Cooper popped down, and as I suspected the inner frame is O…[Read more]

Yea I know, 60 years old and they were ever really built to last, more a work horse. I kinda think each bit I cut out and repair is one less piece of rust before the end

The Kong dual pass lid doesn’t fit the factory blower unless you machine groves into it. That new blower and lid is killer. They are making great power with them
I could get it under without a scoop but have no interest in doing so.

That’s me for the day, heading into the Fringe. Doing the doors, tricky little sucker to work on. Not sure if this door is really worth the effort but going to give it a crack. Haven’t sanded the welds etc, doing a bit of racing the next couple of weeks so not sure when I will get another crack at it.
