Fair enough. stick to what you know! I’m getting Simon from Casey Automotive in Cranbourne to tune mine. he did the first tune on my vx and was ripper.

 

haha #sorrynotsorry, you are welcome to try the alumas on once i get tyres fitted. dunno if the rears will fit though.

if you are looking at getting them order them through the tuners edge. they are over your side of the city and gave me a better price than vpw

Bought some more goodies at the resto country spares grand opening last week, new headlights, new front bar, new bonnet grill inserts and a new overflow bottle.

Plus through the week bought 3 way adjustable shocks, pedders 90/10’s [still waiting for them] , 255 m/t radials [still waiting as well] and got my replacement centers back in the correct stud pattern torqued to speck and back on the rim

To top it off itll be started on this coming weekend!

Thats mint. As a spray painter by trade i completely understand what it takes to making a paint finish stand out from the rest. 2 bucket washing and a coat of wax at the start of every season and she’ll be looking schmick for years to come.

thats fair enough. even down our way [melbourne] there have been reports of united selling e85 per 20L barrel. which can only mean that in time it may disappear from the pumps. scary to think really.

Does it have the compression for e85?

It’ll be fast. i’m even keen to see what sort of numbers it will do. Maybe at some point in the future i’ll come over to SA in the vl and race if they have a fast Friday or something. Be good to see yours in the flesh.

Killer build man. just spent the last hour reading through the 22 pages off goodness. Get Scott Mcafferty at Amped Auto Electrical to do your loom if you need it. he is a wiz. he did the red magnuson blown vk fstgmh [ran 9.4]

Will be a killer car when its done. Will have to meet up at calder when its done

it is a killer street car. hopefully come summer time i’ll have the time slips to prove it. currently ran 12.8 @113mph 2.1 60″ at calder park.

i honestly don’t know what the max bore is in an ls1. This hasn’t been re sleeved or anything but is 20″ thou up. It’s not one of those things ive been told but what i know as i ordered the pistons and got the machine work done. is what it is.

Had to do something a bit different, and something that suited my taste. Unfortunately, momo stars or simmons are out of the question down here in vic. They are on what feels like every 2nd commodore!

Settled on a set of wheels and happy i did.

Weld Alumastars 15×3.5-2.25″ and 15×8-4″ with black centers.  Not going to run center caps as it’ll have wilwood front brakes and probably strange axles.

bit annoyed i had to split the back wheels and take the centers out as they gave me ford pattern instead of commodore. oh well! is what it is.

Hopefully should get the ball rolling in the next 2-3 weeks!!

Also went to All Holden Day at the Dandenong Showgrounds at the start of April. Been very slack updating this post with soo much paint work going on after hours. ah well!
