No, they are for the fronts. These go in the hub section of the rear discs so the smaller VR handbrake shoes work. Apparently, these guys sell them http://www.upc-online.com.au/brakes.html

Thought I would update this as this is what I ended up doing, if you uts slice the nbacking plate you can swap tot the later one without removing the stub axle.

Hi all. Hey I think I remember someone sold adapter rings that you pressed into a VT-Z rear disc so that it would work directly with the smaller VR/S hand brake assembly so you didn’t need to change the backing plate and handbrake mechanism. Is that correct? Anyone know where you get them?

^ yeah what Immortality said, I mean its sort of gone way past a simple daily streetability kind of thing. What I have found is the fun is all about short blasts, and shits and giggles (almost literally). Tbh I don’t like driving it “daily” amongst traffic, I am shit scared some tool in a Galant is going to tail end me. So the focus is on try…[Read more]

Well, a slight hiccup, getting roller rockers to fit my LS7 heads is not as straight forward as I thought… So looks like I need to sell that second kidney (thank god for dialysis) to pay for these trick Jesel ones.

Well, that was a long day for not too much to show for it! It was missing the 5 countersunk screws that hold the brake drums to the hubs. Lots of the fasteners on the car re very off ball. It was made that not long after the second world war so stuff was still hard to get. Morris had actually bought some french fastener company, so some of th…[Read more]

So turns out the there is a company called Moss in the UK who specializes in period MG parts etc. So made up a bit of a list of some of the parts I need and they arrived today. Never ceases to amaze me how bloody slow our postal service is, I regularly receive stuff from overseas in half the time Aust Post takes, hopeless. But anyhow that gi…[Read more]
