Have you seen the vids on how to make sure the oil pump is aligned properly using feeler gauge strips? Worth checking out if not.

When Stephen Bell tiuned mine last time, he found #8 lead was only resting on the plug. Had the same issue, so much power/noise was hard to pick. Maybe some nice shroud to cover the gear linkage, or just clean it more regularly from now on?

A certain Ferdinand Porsche probably had the same atitude! Besides its a racecar, they always need development (and you have the skill to do it).
