Cheers for that its over 44 degrees here today, so the spraying is on hold.  Joe is coming over first thing tomorrow morning, and I picked up a half a liter of Alpine White.  Be good to finish the plenum, then I can get stuck into fitting the new Cowl etc, as we have a few cooler days coming up.

Its not a massive or costly job to get parts re-anodised in black if you get stuck Cav.  I did on my injector adapters.

Well, this long saga continues.  Brenton was off crook before Xmas, so no dyno, THR just rang me (they have been good with communication) and it seems he has next week off, then is back for a week then off again.  I guess its sit back and wait, I’m getting good at that    At least I have the VL to keep me occupied.

Man, been away from here for a while and missed this, you have some serious fab skills.  Nice work.  So those fittings literally mean you don’t have to bleed them at all? Interesting to see this evolve over the last year or so, like night and day, love it.

Looking great mate, loving the black/white theme.  Def Tri Y Pacemakers best off the shelf fitment by far.  Cut off the 2.5″ collectors and make new 3″.  I did and made 508rwhp with them so they are not bad power wise either.

Scored this for $100 about 10 minutes from me    Most of it is mint but has rust in one spot but mine is mint there so should be able to make a really nice repair on it. Cowl repair coming along too, although bit hard to get a decent run at it as lots of socializing being done this time of the year

Managed to get the lock working, I think the VL was the best of the first gens, I love the interiors.  Each to their own

Yea, I guess the reality is they are 30 years old and Holden weren’t exactly on top their game back the rust wise!!

So decided to have crack at the windscreen cowl.  Got a “professional” to come and pull out the screen, of course he broke it, also left the car covered in shit.  Not happy Jan.  But have cut out the old cowl, and its a bit like doing the Kombi, I separated off the the old panel part that’s been spot welded, then linished it back to good me…[Read more]

Well I will be honest. I wouldn’t have touched it if it hadn’t broken. Trouble is its a shit of a place to get access too.  You wouldn’t even know it’s how it’s bolted if it didn’t break.  Not Holden’s best work….

Have the guy coming tomorrow to pull out the front screen so i can do the rust repair. So thought I would potter around and see what could be done with the broken bonnet hinge pin. Bought a box of goodies to do a tune up, service etc.  Also picked up a pair of new gas struts for the tailgate so I don’t have to prop it open with wood anymore

I also got the tailgate button working and latching using a ton of WD40 and some elbow grease.

Now I can have a decent look at it, and tbh the tailgate is rooted, way past with…[Read more]
