My lad is dating a girl from Sapin and her family were out here.  So they borrowed the truckster and went down to Second Valley, McLaren Vale for a couple of days.  Apparently, it never missed a beat, and even Clara’s Dad thought it was pretty old school cool

They certainly design it on the edge strength wise, I guess it keeps it light.

Yep 100% IJ.  I can so see how it would be awesome if the headers hugged better and could be left on.  And yep getting it in is the big part. Now I can chip away at it .

And the engine is in!!  In the bay at least still a lot of work to do.  Had the Street Machine photographer this morning, very nice guy.  Then after got stuck into it.  Tried the up from underneath way.  Gotta say, in my case not a fan.  No way that engine will go anywhere up and in with the exhaust on, and also had to take off the drivers side…[Read more]

Wow, thats quite an engineering feat by BMW to get the stiffness they are renowned for with only .8. Neat job though buddy.

Interesting Cav, I mean its a high temp ceramic coating, not sure what that would effect.  And mine, tune wise has been a little (cough cough) variable and they still look pretty good

Thanks, IJ, if I ever have them out again I might get them re polished then, but I never intended it to be a show car.  Yea he is a super nice kid, very sad what happened but he is taking it really well.  Should be a good proxy Uncle/Nephew day

Interesting, I didn’t do that, the people I use are literally across the street form Pacemakers, I think they may do some of theirs, not sure.
