Good stuff, interesting about the welding certification, mine didn’t need/want that, just goes again to show how it can vary subtly between engineers on what they accept.  Looks like no surprises there though, well done.

Always good to give yourself a deadline.  Looks like you have the bulk of it sorted.

Yea they do, tbh I was a little unsure about it after reading it.  They never ran the article by me at all, just wrote it after speaking to me by phone and published it.  Hopefuly I come across ok.  Its still a little cool to see it, especially on the corner of the cover

And mine being based on the VY would work with that? How sophisticated are they, for example when it wasn’t getting the cam positions sensor input, would it have told me that?

Mate, you are building a one-off, to my knowledge no one has ever put an LS AWD drivetrain in an E36, certainly not to this level.  Stands to reason you would have picked up lots of tips/tricks/improvements with the Lexcen.
