Also got the engine all adjusted up, idles beautifully, can get it down well below 800rpm. Thought I would also fit the trumpet screens as that’s an accident waiting to happen.
Got onto a company in the UK called ITG Air Filtration, EFI Hardware (thanks to IJ) put me onto them. They look like having a nice filter set up specifically for the J…[Read more]

Managed to get the pins for the under dash, as they are still available through GM. Funny how some things are, others are long gone. Also found a place called Gen 2 Automotive 10 mins from me. Its run by a pair of second gen enthusiasts Danni and Ben. They run its as a part time business selling and wrecking them to fund their own “ob…[Read more]

^Pretty much exactly what Canton said to do with the sump they supplied. Once I had it all going, first oil change (not filter) I used my catch pan that has litre graduations on it and wrote down how much drained. When I did an oil change and changed the filter I did the same thing and recorded the amount so next time I knew either way how m…[Read more]

So have been giving some thought to troubleshooting this bad boy. Tbh it has been an issue a couple of times. It’s so angry/loud at idle it can be difficult to tell if it’s firing on every cylinder etc, or what the source of an issue is (at least to my untrained ear).
I think using my old school timing light I s…[Read more]

Happy to design and make one of these up for you (or anyone else). I would just charge the regular cost ($140) and do all the 3D modelling etc for nothing, but after would offer them on my website. I actually think it would look super neat.

That makes me sad, if only I had stuck with the stock LS3. I paid a number of times more than that just because of the bloody emmision testing. This thing will be a weapon mate in a little, light, 1st gen.
