Supposed to be here Tuesday .Dropped the car off this morning to Bonez for a full detail this week. Once it’s back I will try the nozzles. The original VR ones were abysmal. That’s why they went to the doubles on the VS I think.

And tomorrow it’s off to Bonez for a full detail. Also ordered a new pair of these, the bonnet is so good now thought it deserved it.

A few pics Frank took yesterday, not bad considering how dirty it was. Paint is still immaculate. He really is one of, if not the, best of the best.

Was around at Franks yesterday picking up my bonnet. He is currently doing 4 Lx Hatchbacks. Imo the most beautiful car Holden (or Aus) ever produced.

Cheers mate. Feeling super happy right now. Similar feeling to when I got it though engineering. Back to where it was. Now to just test it more and more power wise to build trust as IJ rightly says. Filters are great. And make it a little quieter when cruising too.

Yea I did the same today. I actually didn’t give it the berries at all. Too far from home in case something silly happened.

Yea baby, so, so happy. 400km round trip, not one single issue. Averaged 15.1 l/100, and I was sitting at around 100 km/h, so I am pretty bloody happy with that. Oil pressure rock solid, temperature dead stable. Zero issues except blowing a fuse on the indicators. Not sure what that about but peaking. And of course an immaculately painted…[Read more]

Thanks IJ. I never built it to be a trailer queen. I guess it’s just my confidence has been dented a little of late. But very much appreciate the vote of support!

Batteries are a pita at the best of times, you invariably end up in an awkward cantilevered position fitting them. Be great if you could zero in on what to avoid.

Thanks, well decided its the perfect time to fit the filters. Have to say I love them. Just beautifully elegant, yet functional design. Absolutely perfect for street duties. Have done as much prep as I possibly can. Bring it on.

Well, wish me, luck team. The bonnet is done and ready to be picked up. Have booked a day off tomorrow and doing the 2-hour drive across to Walleroo to pick it up then back again. Won’t lie I am a bit nervous about such a relatively long drive. Fingers crossed

The only issue I have is on the weekend I dug out what I thought was all the old Jenvey stuff and of course one of the aluminium air horns is missing I am thinking its somewhere between the garage and the 3D printing room when I was doing the cold air induction box, but may h…[Read more]
