I’ve got the new ignition module installed – will go for a long drive tomorrow hopefully and see if I have any dramas…
Thinking I should change the dizzy, leads and coil aswell due to the age of the car. Anyone got any recommendations?

Cheers FLI. Where did you get the momo one from?
I think i’ll look at getting mine retrimmed if I can find someone that can do the HSV stamp in it.
Mate that I got the car from (8 years ago) said he looked at getting a new one when he first got it (5 years before that) but the stamp wasn’t deep. Just if he bought a dozen of em!

Right so mine is starting to look pretty shabby, see attachment. Been looking on ebay regularly and one finally appeared… $350, WTF, not even new! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181693591842

Car: ’97 VS II HSV Senator 185i (196,000km & stock)
A mate of mine organised a skid pan day at Mt Cotton Driver Training Centre. The centre is owned by Qld Department of Transport and Mains Roads, but through connections in BMW Car Club Qld he arranged the skid pan day just for his mates. It cost ~$125 for 4 hours.

Had the car for 8 years and never touched the dizzy, so I reckon it’ll be worth changing to. Did think about just replacing everything (plugs, leads, dizzy, dizzy cap, dizzy rotor button, coil, module) but rather find out what is actually wrong… but you know what chasing the gremlins are like – I just may never actually find out.
