Posts: 823.9’s would put it out the other way though. Rev’s way higher for speed. Mines low revs massive speed, my commute spends half it’s time at 90kph (2200rpm, 120 kph on the speedo) and the revs match the old diff at that speed.
In the bin files there is the option to change the road speed calculation, if I could get writing working.
Tried the Jaycar box, couldn’t make the stupid thing work and my gear shifts are still out anyway.

I got the OSE Flash tool working and managed to download the BIN & CAL files. I just can’t upload the modded files back to the memcal. I’ve messaged Mace via fb as it’s one of their memcals. I was also hoping to get the files from the stock chip but no luck there.

Posts: 82Almost, except my issue isn’t just the speedo itself reading wrong. I’ve used EFI Live to read a full dash straight from the diagnostic plug, as I was wondering if it was an issue in the dash itself. It isn’t, the ECU output was out by 33%
Also you can change the road speed in the bin file.

I remembered about a bunch of data files I had for Tunerpro from the OSE plug in. Loaded them in and managed to get the Data acquisition side kinda working. gauges where bouncing around all over the place but that’s about all I’ve ever had them doing.
Still no luck getting the tuning side working

Posts: 82Yup, takes 20 seconds. If I could get my tuning program to work with either of the 2 cables I have.
EFI live V4 doesn’t have tuning capability which is a pain as I got that working the other day. Tunerpro has always been a pain to get working but it’s free.
Kalmaker doesn’t seem to be an option as I don’t want to be spending $$$$ to fix 1 cars ECU.

Posts: 82It shouldn’t be, though I didn’t think of that. I did change diffs but it should have been a 3.08 High performance I pulled out of a wreck when I ditched the sunroof. Though using a speed / gear calculator I’m not sure it’s different.
If I need an adjuster box I’ll need to put it before the ECU so that see’s the correct speed as well.

Posts: 82Right, so I’ve got EFI live V4 working, but not Tunerpro that I need to adjust the speedo.
Are there different VSS drive that would throw the Speedo out?

Posts: 82Yup, did one at Adelaide International Raceway.
The 180kph down the drag strip main straight was the most boring part.
(AIR has a bowl and the main straight doubles as a drag strip)
I did a Rally school drive, was a complete waste of money.
I chose the ute because of the short line and being RWD. Stock hopeless shifter and shit suspension. Not to mention the stunt drive “instructor” was useless.March 5, 2015 at 2:36 pm #2001

Posts: 82So this kinda happened over Easter 2014. Everything still needed to be hooked up but it’s something happening and it was in it’s home.
Me Jacking the gearbox & cross member up to the body.
So 9 months latter the bloody thing finally runs.
When I first put it in something in the auto didn’t line up properly and made it stupidly tight. So over Christmas 2014 we pulled it all out again and slipped the converter on again and it all lined up this time.
Patch looms needed to be made to mate up the VS ECU to the VR’s body. The first memcal didn’t work, the second one is miles out on the speedo but it does run.March 2, 2015 at 12:28 pm #1110

Posts: 82First up, better pic of the back end
I’m using a Redarc BCDC 1220 DC/DC charger isulator.
Batteries are Power Sonic PG-12V40 FR. 40amp hourMy Original plan: unfortunately wouldn’t work, lot enough height for my car fridge (full false floor) and lack of flat surfaces for the hinges.
How I ended up installing them: Still need to neaten up the box and wiring (Box Mk I)

Posts: 82Still needs (2 years latter) a proper polish but first need to put it back together. Also need to change the heater core. The lower body kit went on at this time. (I think it’s a set of VQ lips as the don’t fit that well, I bought them second hand.)

Posts: 82So That was back in 2010.
Fast forward a year and I decided the sunroof (rusty and dead rubbers) needed to be removed from the statesman. It’s finally got a new roof on it and is at the painter getting resprayed and welded up.I was lucky to pickup a complete set of fog light from the wreck I chopped the roof off. The L67 was bought originally go in a manual exec I have, but the paint was getting crappy so dad suggested I find a better car. As it turns out I should have bought a VS stato, as the VR to VS has been a bit of a pain.
Anyway, old roof cut off. New one welded on and a cheap pearl paint job latter.
