Vn grp a had the reinforcing cut out so there must be a way, trick is to do things neat and not just hack things out and less likely to upset the engineer!

Cav you could easily get a wedge adapter machined up to angle throttle down like I did on my manifold as throttles were straight out at first. I would just run the Trans mount and if it cracks then reengineer or reengineer later as more important shit to do at the moment. Looking good 👌

My front end from CRS didn’t come with all the bolts either. So annoying because I think the 2 main bolts are imperial.

the kit was 2nd hand. It had some bolts, but not all. Also cause I brought the car as a roller it was missing bits and pieces. Quick trip to the wreckers and $10 later I can’t complain. Got a good mate of mine coming past to help me ease it in. Pray at for clearance.

so tones is helping you ease it in , no homo

Looking good mate, just hope the brake line isnt a long painful job, will suck if it slows build down just for the sake of a few pretty brake lines that most people will not notice. Keep it simple not like you will be at car shows with bonnet popped etc

Yea mate guessing they were retrimmed so thats good for me as senator seats in a ute would be a bit strange, ill eventually have them retrimmed. Not had much time to work on ute for a while.

Wow top build mate!! I understand getting rid of the fr’s but noticed you are thinking of going gold rims. Gold goes quite well with blue. Have gold fr’s om my blue vs ute. Makes the colour pop so much better than silver. End of the day if you dont like them gold can always change the colour.

So finnaly came across a set of devonish front seats, got them for a great price and actually in really really good condition!! The ss seats were getting a little ruff. So i put them in the ute and actually look pretty decent for now although will have retrimmed. I have new ss seat material etc that i got off ebay a while ago. I know some people will not like. All the dash plastics that were painted blue 7 years ago will be sprayed gloss black. As realise that the blue is a little ricer. Steering wheel will be retrimmed and new carpet. The carpet is gray and thinking maybe going black.

Not done much towards cam swap as been very busy with work and saving money for going overseas. Not in any crazy hurry with it as quite happy driving it as is.

Having not seen the FR20 1 piece in the flesh, from the pics i’ve seen the dish doesn’t look as highly polished as the 1 piece Simmons? Fair call? I’m actually borrowing one this weekend, so will see for myself.

Na they are highly polished, his do look dull in the pics tho.

245s generally look stretched on the 9.5s hence i didnt run the 9.5s as didnt want a stretched look. Only way you will fix it is raising car a little or shorten diff then can run a 275 etc

Not to be arrogant but i really think the three mpnths of work shows on my ute, from polyestering the whole rear to flow coating the whole car. All with spies and hecker paint. Definetly catches a few people off guard seeing a dirty vs ute this straight.  Had a few people pull me up to ask what polish i use lol

Has quite the shine to it, you can see mirror reflection in tailgate and i quite some distance back, all iphone pics

    1. Stop trying to compete with something your not 2. Stop trying to please others. 3. Private school over priced junk.

Lol coming from a plumber that is rich, private schools have there merits. Who gives a shit what others think and if your son is embarrassed about it, end of the day in a few years he will hate you for the next ten years.  But if u had 20k there is plenty of stuff to choose from. Maybe a vt monaro etc. Or you could go euro etc.

Yes it does Cav, drag racing is not the only form of racing!!! Its funny the point u are talking about as the guy who dynoed my motor said it would smash a ls1 with more power. Not sure reasoning for this comment

U make more torque then me yet I’m .9 faster

Think you will find its a circuit racing quote
