Nice finish on the trim. I also thought of the different colour leds for the dekota but just went red and green the same layouts as the standard colours.

The kit cost me about $300 took a day of prep. Not slippery but its not an everyday car so im not really in the back that often.

Lol a day of prep, how many beers you have ;) Give the ute tub a clean with a scrubbing brush the clean with prepsol and rub down with scotch bright. Then spray in, i used raptor liner, you can also tint it. And yes it is hard as fuck, its slightly slipery. If you go in my thread i think i have close up pics, you need zero skill to apply it just like sound deadener.

Zero skill is good. $300 is good. And looking a shitload better than a plastic tub liner is also very good. Def adding this to the to do list. Looks great i both of your utes.

Anyone can do it just make sure the prep is done and your all good.

Sorry to read about your ute mate always hate it when people don’t do the right thing bloody dogs!

Any pics of shifter install, currently doing my one, was it very tricky doing it with 4l60e? Or instructions etc make it straight forward?

Still havent gotten it done but have everything ready and wired up for the gear indicator system just need the time. Im using the drop box and dont see any issues at all done them before.

As for a days prep on the tray liner, there may have been a few beers consumed and an afternoon nap. But def glad i did it.

I did this upgrade on my vs and they are a great improvement over standard.

Haven’t had any dramas so far.

What is the heat like under the bonnet with the sc?

Mine seems to heat the bay alot, trying to get some cooler air in the bay is proving interesting.

LT1 valve springs are a fairly common upgrade spring for performance cams, fit in the standard spring pockets etc. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-253-308-304-EFI-5-0L-VALVE-SPRINGS-LT1-HEAVY-DUTY-PERFORMANCE-BLUE-RACER-/181649538350?hash=item2a4b27fd2e:g:LT0AAOxyiOxR3es5

As far as the momo steering wheel goes, if your car didnt come out with an air bag you can fit an after market wheel. It must have a horn pad to protect you incase you have an accident.

I found mine from gum tree $90 in awesome condition.

For something different i took the tops off a vs caprice leather door trim and made them fit the original door card. It gets rid of the crappy looking material. <span style=”background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);”></span>

Mate that looks mint, did getting the door reupholstered cost much? Did you paint the rest of the door trim black or is it all new?

    Door cards all still original.

Just prepped the shit out of them used adhesion promoter and vinyl paint no issues at all no wear yet either.

mine runs down the passenger side bonnet hinge and then i routed it through the side of the inner body panel near the power arial then ran it up to the washer bottle.

    keeps the bay clean.

I also shortened the filler neck on the washer bottle so it just pokes through in the bay.

    check my build for pics.

My dipstick is exactly the same as yours on my vs.
