March 2, 2015 at 6:54 pm #1236Got it back and started reconstruction
March 2, 2015 at 6:55 pm #1239Then the motor turned up and it was time for it to all go in
As it stands now the body kit is about to be fitted this weekend and this is about 3/4 weeks away from first start !!!
March 2, 2015 at 6:55 pm #1240This paint work here has been done in a shed as a home job me and my mate who is a panel beater did it I put a big thanks out to muzza for his work and expertise this is straight of the gun no rubbing and buffing has been done yet I did give some of it a quick hit with polish couple weeks ago !!! it will get a wet rub with 2000 and buffed once the car is drivable to get that glass look !!! All the inside parts and anything that is black I painted my self
March 2, 2015 at 6:56 pm #1243
This is its first power tune with vortech v2 running 8 psi
This is how it currently sits !!! I have put in no effort into trying to make this any sort of show bay, every thing in here is for go or because its easier to work on!! Later on once I know every thing that has to be where ill start to think about what I will do to make it pretty and hiding wiring and doin braided lines but right now its more about tearing engine mounts apart and breaking every thing behind the crank
I changed to black braided lines and made a alloy intake
So a while back I went down the strip and realized stoping was a issue
March 2, 2015 at 6:56 pm #1244I got a hoist and did a over hall on the under carriage
I had a exhaust built from a shop and when looking at it of the car I noticed it was very poorly made so I chopped it up got my mufflers off it and started again, now I have access to a ac/dc tig making my own exhaust made sence
Duing the construction of this my front seats turned up

March 2, 2015 at 6:57 pm #1247So in the process of making my fuel tank I also made these 1/2 inch fuel lines
I then got a new cooler as my future plans would max out the 75mm thick one I had fitted
New one is 600-300-120mm and good for over 900 hp
Then I got fuel tank finished
Then my rear seats turned up

March 2, 2015 at 6:58 pm #1248The engine lost oil pressure so out it come and back to Pavtek it went for bronzed lifter bores and new bearings
So while it was out I took on a job many said was out of my league
I proved them wrong, anyone with ambition can achieve what they want to

Posts: 264Great looking colour mate. Nice amount of power for some fun too.
March 13, 2015 at 11:02 pm #2589So I hid the ABS in the bin
Painted some other bits
Engine turned up all ready to rumble again along with some 4:11 and harrop cover and eaton centre
I started sorting out the wiring harness now it’s as hidden as could make it
March 13, 2015 at 11:13 pm #2590So that was it all back together, I turned the key, it rumbled to life with good oil pressure and all was sweet except 1 major thing g was about to happen
My alternator was in the way !!
It had to be moved, previously I had fitted a VL manual steering rack so I put alternator over here
That wasn’t nice enough so painted it black
That was better
Then over here had plenty of room for upgrade

March 13, 2015 at 11:15 pm #2592*Jaw hits floor*I love this thing!Nevin
March 13, 2015 at 11:19 pm #2593In the mean time I got the diff done
I also pulled the subs out as I’m no longer 19
Because iv gone power stupid I got a water meth kit for AIS
Then this happened
March 13, 2015 at 11:29 pm #2595Bam hit the dyno and made a easy 18psi and just melted the tyres on the dyno
Seen 430 rwkw and over 1100 nm torque
The engine bay temps where sky high, pipes glowing red hot
Rubber coated the under side, the rear and the floor of the dyno, I rubed the tyres and rubber just fell of them and the fuel pumps where screaming and cavating like crazy
I had a major heat issue I had to fix, so drove it home and pumps craped them selves so I also had a major fuel pump issue
Got every thing I could Hpc coated and ordered a AI sp1200 serge tank witch would take 2-3 months as he had a big waiting list
So as I’m waiting for the near serge tank and pumps to turn up I do some exhaust mods as it’s a little on the noisy side
March 13, 2015 at 11:37 pm #2596So with the exhaust finally 100% I decide to finish the bumper
While I’m goin with the fibre glass I make this cover for the radiator
Then look put my serge tank rocked up
Got it in fired it up and all seamed sweet, engine bay temps are way cooler now and pumps are near silent
So I take it for a drive and a bit over half throttle in 2nd and bang
Shattered a rear axel CJ
Oops
So new set are in ready to rumble again
As it is today it’s mental to drive, it’s got absolutely 0 traction in first 3 gears and is awaiting a tune in about 1 weeks time to make that situation slightly worse and I havemt even got the water meth on yet
I’ll back soon with some more news
March 13, 2015 at 11:40 pm #2597beautiful car.
March 13, 2015 at 11:48 pm #2598Cheers Gary, nevin, nick and thunder for the kind words guys
It’s been a massive effort to get it this far and have learnt so much along the way but I think apart from finishing the tune the car is pretty much done
The only few things I would like to do is roll cage, clean up the wiring under the dash and a different set of rims probley 18 if they clear my brakes, some do some don’t and with 8.5 fronts and 9.5 rears and nitto nt05 tyres
