Custom set of link pins could allow you to use one of those?

Posts: 105What size is the rear bar? When you fitted vt master cylinder did you use VS or VT reservoir? Could you take a pic for me?
Used to hate picking car up to find it didn’t have fitted what had been originally agreed. Now i do it myself which means nothing gets fitted which is why I’m not already on the track :-p.

Posts: 105Thanks. The top of a vt reservoir sits at a fair angle when in a vs so option is to fit a vs reservoir to vt master but need to drill a hole to get the retaining screw in. Incidentally did you know yours isn’t screwed in? Makes me think it’s a vs reservoir to get it level.

Posts: 227@phire – yep it sits a fair angle. if you fill it up to the full dot/marker it’s almost over flowing at the rear of the reservoir… i’ll check that screw.. it’s screwed in from the otherside, as this photo is taken from the passenger side leaning over the motor. check pics below.
@Gary – well I’ve got a new one now… I was a little worried about messing with the hardness and making the thing tail happy… atleast I know this is what whiteline recommend for the rear.

Posts: 227Master Model No. 0037 C3.1 15A23 – bugger to read so hope that’s right.
From a quick google that model number does get a hit but the master looks identical to PBR VT version (and I was told that it was a new VT one).

Posts: 105Oh yep, sorry. I recalled that screw going further through to the master than yours looked. That angle looks how mine did when i mocked it up with the vt res. I’ve sat my vs reservoir on the master for now but been meaning to pull master back out to drill a new hole.

Posts: 5 777Yea you need to swap the reservoir, an AU Falcon or VS work. Its reasonably straight forward but the mounting hole in the bottom that screws sideways into the master cylinder doesn’t line up so you have to redrill it.
VS on left, VT/VX on right.
September 22, 2015 at 7:11 pm #9422Must say your mechanic sounds like a right knob…
And im pretty sure AU Resi bolts straight to vt master no mods

Posts: 227So after my last track day, where I boiled the power steering fluid and it went bang with oil smoke after the cap popped off, I’ve got a new power steering pump, and I’ve hooked up the the power steering lines through the auto trans cooler in my radiator (since I’ve got a manual). I’ve also got high temp power steering fluid.
