HB body cut, and then polish, which I bought from a paint shop. Finished off with Bowdens Wax

Thanks, its a pretty tidy car for its age. Yeah I took it off because the H was missing

Just a normal buff with a firm foam orange pad for the cut and softer foam black pad for the polish, put the wax on by hand. Dont have much detail on the pads as I dont have the packaging they came in any more.

Cool thanks, pretty much what I have planned for mine except I use the Rupes pads which are yellow for cut and green for polish from memory

how did you get 8.2l/100km? I don’t think I could every do it in my VS Senator…

EDIT  – I note it’s not a v8, but I did have a VN 3.8l Calais, and still don’t think I could get it that low.

I drive it fairly easily most of the time, highway and 80 zones probably help a lot

That is one neat and original looking Calais. They look so good in stock form, maybe a bit lower but awesome otherwise.

Yeah it really stands out now, will probably repaint the engine cover and put that back on as well for that factory fresh look

Looks good mate, makes the engine bay looks heaps better. We do the P/S reservoirs at work too if you want them.
