Posts: 5 777+1 for stainless being harder to work with, but looks awesome forever (for brakes) but used ally for fuel as too hard to bend large diameter.

Posts: 5 777Fark yea, they sure as hell aint the prettiest engine to look at, but they are one hell of a power unit for the money :) So did you go for the Paccies in the end?

Posts: 5 777Ah, OK, thought they would be a bit small for the HP you are chasing….
December 2, 2015 at 9:54 am #11809Where did you source the engine from?
Who are you using for engineering?
Great to see progress
December 2, 2015 at 12:32 pm #11821Preston Motors supplied the engine, just beat the recent price hike on the motors so saved a few k.
The guy doing all my fabrication has an engineer he uses.

Nice work with the savings. Your not doing the fab yourself? Theres not too much to it or am I missing some killer big time mods you are secretly planning?
December 2, 2015 at 4:21 pm #11831Yeah I’m doing as much as I can with it. Fabricator will be shorting and building the diff and possibly the mini tubs if I can’t be assed.
December 2, 2015 at 5:34 pm #11833Always wanted to do this swap so keenly watching

December 3, 2015 at 10:01 am #11845Even with this engine in it dead stock it would be an animal..
Id love to meet up see it when its done.
December 3, 2015 at 10:29 am #11846If it doesn’t run a 9@14x I’ll be disappointed.
December 3, 2015 at 10:39 am #11847Thats seriously fast. Getting aps to tune it again?
I would assume it will be fairly useless on the street on street tires? No hope of traction but fun

December 3, 2015 at 11:35 am #11849Yeah Luis will most likely tune it. Hoping to have a 295 under the ass. But in saying. That wouldn’t mind if it broke reaction on the freeway lol
December 3, 2015 at 11:38 am #11850“404 Traction not found” :XD:
