Not much happening as usual. Been working 7day weeks the last 3 weeks.
Have done another order of 3/16 stainless fittings so I can now concentrate on making my brake lines. I’ve done some templates and it should be rather simple.
Ive also sent my old Speedflow braided brake hoses into MSCN and they will make me a set of crimped ADR approved hoses.
July 22, 2019 at 7:45 pm #29191Gave it another nudge this weekend. Finished the fuel setup under the car. Must admit there is shit everywhere in a limited space. But it works and I can remove it all in 5mins. So easily gain access to the filters etc.
Finished the last bit of my hard lines too. Tank is back in place after 4 years sitting on the bench. Also picked up a plastic tank cover too. So that went on also.
Excuse the larger then life hose clamps. I need to change them to something more HD anyways as I’m using 1/2” hose on a 5/8” barb.
Also decided on coil location. Was going to be behind the engine but I much prefer this.
Lastly made a start on the brake lines.

Posts: 585Brake lines are gonna be my next mission. Lucky I was smart enough to wait until virtually everything is in the bay before doing them, like the pros do.
July 22, 2019 at 8:32 pm #29193Haha my bays empty. I mocked everything up and measured everything. So I had a clear run at it all.

It does. I’ll make sure everything is sealed up with polyurethane once I do it.

Yeah I have the same one. I’ll just clean it regularly. But tbh it’s not like it’s going to be driven if shit weather overly much.
Did the brake lines today. Then Ian ruined my day and said I did it wrong. Bastard.
August 27, 2019 at 9:10 pm #29586Got to check this out in person today, the pics don’t do the attention to detail justice!
August 28, 2019 at 5:12 pm #29591Good to see you again Ian. She scrubs up ok. I’d post more photos but tapatalk is having a hemorage so I can’t link anything.
Home stretch now.

Posts: 47Anymore updates Cav? How did you go with the brake line plumbing in the end? What was the problem you encountered doing it wrong? I’m starting mine shortly so any insight into something i might potentially overlook would be good to know. Haha.
September 3, 2019 at 10:40 pm #29635Plenty to up date. But I can’t upload photos. I only know how to use Tapatalk and that’s not working.
All the brake lines are done. It was pretty straight foreward. Just need to take your time. I used all hard line. Not annealed bundy tube.
Engine is back in. Ended changing my headers back to pacemakers, which are also now installed. It’s all ready to go back together now.

Guys running 8’s with them. So they should fill my desires. I was just too hung up early days thinking I NEEDED biggest pipes possible.
I’ll let them be the extra HP they would of made wasnt worth the headache.
